Our WR’S Suck !!!!

Hard crowd.

I'm not worried about our receivers.

Last year, couldn't run, couldn't kick, couldn't pass.

First game - we can run. We can kick. And when it's called for in subsequent games - I'm sure we can throw.

You obviously never watched our National Championship teams play. Lots of close games - lots of things we could have done much better. And it seemed at times - we had a bit of luck.

Would I liked to have seen Restrepo? Yes absolutely, not sure if the coaches are planning on redshirting him or what. But Few did nothing wrong in the reps he was in, got a first down near the end of the game and was open on a route earlier in the game but King didn't throw it. Until he proves that he's a liability then don't complain about him getting reps, WRs are going to rotate in this offense and Few's been pretty dominant on Greentree the last 3 years.

I thought Payton, Wiggins and Jordan did well last night. All showed that they could play. Payton should have had a TD on a perfectly called play.
Wiggins made a nice grab and drag and Jordan does what he does.
We only threw 24 passes and completed 16. Thats not bad passing, just low attempts. I don't know if that was game plan based or we felt we had good numbers in the box to keep successfully running. The plays are there in the passing game and we have a QB who will make enough plays. We just need to give him a chance.

Redshirting isn’t an issue this year everybody is getting an extra year of eligibility. If the kids are good enough to get on the field, they should.

I’ve been on this board for the last 3 years saying the same thing. Miami WRs are TOO SMALL!!! we can’t continue to recruit WRs under 6’0 180. However, I will disagree that our WR sucks. They’re just out of place. Pope and Harley can’t be on the outside. Did you see the Go-route with Harley?! Man please. Wiggins got held and that’s expected when you have a bigger WR.

Every other team in the state has big WRs.
UF (6’5 220, 6’4 228, slot 6’0 195)
FSU (6’4 220, 6’3 205, slot 5’9 175)
UCF (6’4 225, 6’2 198, slot 6’0 215)
USF (6’4 216, 6’2 215, slot 5’10 185)
UM (6’3 195, 6’0 175, slot 5’10 175)

Our WR are getting manhandled at that line that’s why it looks like they have no separation. PAYTON, WIGGINS, and REDDING needs to be on the field. Especially Redding. Just on size factor alone. Lol. And We have to play our most talented players instead of our most experienced. NO WAY MARSHALL FEW IS BETTER THAN KEYSHAWN SMITH or Redding. No way I’ll believe that.

I saw separation and a lot of missed throws by King and some bad reads. Love King but his game wasn’t clean last night.

Kings game should get better and this the receivers will improve.
His game has to improve moving forward. Now, I think it will.

For starters, they need to move the pocket and help him see the field. Like it or not, he's a short dude, and hiding amongst the trees is limiting his vision of the field. There were a lot of times last night where I wondered if he could see the field clearly. Move that pocket, roll him out, make teams worry about him running. Teams are scared to death of his running ability, why not put it on page one and make them read it?

I just felt the game plan wasn't great from a passing standpoint. It wasn't all King. Sure a couple plays were, but no QB is going to hit every pass, no matter how basic. My bigger concern was the plan, not the execution. Both could have been better, I just feel the plan could have been much better, and would have helped King settle in faster.

King went 16-24 last night. He missed on some deep throws but man, y’all gotta chill. It’s one god **** game. We had no spring, installing a new offense with a transfer QB. We were running all over them. King throws a pick or a couple incompletions and y’all would be “WhY aRe We ThRoWiNg iT WeRe RuNniNg AlL OveR ThEm”.
