Having been in them personally, and comparing to Oregon our the likes of, they aren't close. With that being said, they aren't horrible either. It's very, very to the point. The way naysayers call it, it's like a ratty high school, and it isn't.
I'd compare UM to the rest as UM being a Nissan GT-R, and the likes of Oregon, Alabama, etc., etc. to a Ferrari 458 Italia. Ferrari is much nicer in nearly every facet, it's gorgeous, and prestigious, without a smidge of doubt, a stud (no pun to their insignia). The GT-R though, cost a third, isn't as nice in every facet, but has ALL the capability of destroying the 458 in the arena they are both designed, and that's the race track. When it's time to compete, in the hands of let's say the Stig (google if you don't know), the GT-R and all of it's lack of *** appeal, can drive circles around a 458 somewhere like the Ring (again, google if you don't know) without breaking a sweat.
Now, many prefer the Ferrari. Lots even, but it isn't necessarily better because of that. Nissan did a LOT with a little, and UM used to. That's the problem right now, We aren't operating as intended, but when we are, y'all know what happens. So does everybody in college football, and they are in fact rustled at what may happen soon.
