It can be both, coaches and players, in fact it always is both.
Evidence, the team got fired up when Garcia came in. They aren't dumb, they knew what was going on and that'll wear on a team, forcing mistakes. It was both sides of the ball that got some renewed energy and focus. The fans got excited.
Ultimately it was too little too late. I don't know what we were doing in some aspects of the game. I know they faced a team that was on their biggest stage of their year. We gave them hope right off the first whistle. They weren't playing for NIL checks, all they get is a free education and to keep playing a game they love. They didn't expect to win until we showed them we weren't special and maybe not entirely into the game.
They wanted it more. Simple as that. Our coaches didn't help and continued playing a QB who looked less interested than anyone else on the field. Two picks, they should've sat him right then and there to compose himself. Garcia doesn't score, you bring TVD back in.
You don't see everything on television, but these coaches are stubborn. The players, tired and looking for something to believe in. Is that Garcia offensively?
It's both, but ultimately it's on the coaches. Never forget that and nobody forgets poor play by our players either.
