Our OC and DC

Man, I love our OC Shannon Dawson. I just do not know how long we will be able to keep him. Liking the new DC, we will see after this season if I still like him. If he does well, I think he will be here at least 2-3 more years. How long y'all think we can keep Dawson before he takes a HC job? I think 1-2 years max. I would prefer we try and lock him down for at least 3-5, if possible. Thoughts?

Dawson doesn't strike me as the HC type. Seems like a guy who sees what that entails and says "I'm good" - recruiting, fundraising, media tours, etc.

This is based on my own personal knowledge about him, which is zero.

Yet another solid offense, he is going to get offers.

We're going to need to raise him about at least 300 Grand a year.

P4 coordinators get paid just as much as G5 head coaches with less responsibility and more security especially if we’re always willing to pay for a good QB. You’re crazy if you’re looking to be a first time HC at some lowly P4 or G5 program these days. You’ll be fired in 3 years max. He should stay until he gets a really good G5 job replacing someone who just got a P4 job or a smaller P4 program wants him after their HC just got poached for an elite level P4 job.
