Hugh Freeze. Without a doubt.

If what Barry Jackson wrote is true — us having at least a 1 million budget for an OC — then he should be our first call.

He’s a proven winner on the big stage, fielding offenses that scared the daylights out of SEC defenses during his tenure at Ole Miss.

One of the only coaches in college football to beat Nick Saban twice, and both times Alabama was at their apex. The 2014 Bama team he beat went to the playoffs. The 2015 Bama team he beat won the national championship.

I know about his issues off the field; however, I think the media and UM’s administration would accept Freeze with a guy like Richt overseeing him.

I think Freeze is a massive douche but I also think the NCAA (magically) recently cleared Ole **** in all or most of that.

This. Freeze can Bible thump all he wants but this school isn't taking someone with any type of past scandal like that after the Nevin Shapiro issue. Which is why I say Kendal Briles is also a pipe dream even though he would be perfect for the team.

I find if hard to believe any OC out there would have a play book as ancient as Richts. If one came in next year and was actually allowed to run the offense just insert name and offense would be better than present

The reason I want Kendal Briles is because when richt gets old and retires he could be next in line. WOnt be too old either provided he’d stick around. I’m assuming manny takes a HC job offer
