Sometimes you have to be weary of a highly rated guy who hasn’t really played top level competition. I was excited that we had signed Lorenzo Lingard but when I watched his high school highlights, it was just video of him running through holes and away from small, slow kids. He was clearly a great athlete but wasn’t doing anything particularly special as a running back.

For what it’s worth the rankings systems have become far more accurate over the last 5-8 years. Now obviously there not perfect but definitely a much lower bust rate.
