Our Freshman Punter...

Dammit mane... Who is our ST's coach? I forgot McCloud could've cost us the game with that stupid ****.

Granted we've been spoiled with our last two punters being NFL-caliber, but Feagles as a true freshman has been adequate. Vogel averaged 43.5 yards per punt with 25 inside the 20 on 64 punts. He gave up a 159 return yards. He had 1 punt blocked. Feagles averages 38.5 yards per punt with 20 inside the 20 on 51 punts. He has given up 19 return yards with 1 punt blocked.

That block was clearly and solely on Herndon, a senior.

As for Badgley, he hooked one. Snap was good. Hold was good. Protection was good. You going to bench him?

Not sure why Berrios wasn't in the game, but there is a reason why you don't have true freshman back there. Normally it is decision making.

Dumb play by McCloud.

We were definitely not focused at times in all 3 phases of the game.

I cringe at growing pains we will have with true freshman kicker next year.. should be championship level team again.. yikes.. maybe we get a grad kicker

He does that to allow the coverage to get downfield, which is why no one ever returns vs us.

That's coaching.

As usual, CIS bashes a player for a dumb reason

We have the best HS kicker in the country coming in. Oh, and Bama has a grad transfer kicker and he sucks.

As usual, a CIS poster talks out of his ***

Smh.. anyway, I just don't think it's best to put true freshman kicker in those types of situation.. I don't know how many years in a row now but we usually have been able to red shirt a good kicker, have them learn behind a guy, go on road, get acclimated and be ready to roll..

Any time u have to use grad transfer it's to try to plug a gap and is not ideal.. a great kicker will go to league rather than transfer but we have had some success.. it could be an option as true freshman in specials is not ideal as we have seen this season with inconsistencies with our punter..

Not sure how that was taken as talking out of *** but whatever dude

Pretty spot-on. I'm not in the business of criticizing either kid but Feagles seems to be a more frequent and easier target than Badgley. Badgley has gotten a lot of hype but I'm not soooooo sure that under threat of perjury that I'd admit to trusting him either.

Then again, this is college football. Strangely, even the perennial powers have kicking issues so it's probably prudent to not hold a true freshman punter to an elevated standard.

We’ve been really lucky with punters for like a decade for whatever reason. We’ve had savages. He’ll be fine, freshman jitters. Talent is there.

Feagles has been really good at times and shaky at times, you know, like freshman often are. He will be fine.

The ST have been very mediocre, have we returned even one for a TD?... most of the time it looks like we are satisfied with a "fair catch"

.... for a Div 1 program like Miami, it is ridiculous that we can't find a decent punter and have to have a freshman punt... and that too.. a legacy hire.

Berrios was banged up and Thomas going back was a last second thing ... hence the catch inside the 5 and the two #4 's on the field at the same time.

Feagles has been punting much much better recently. His kicks usually don't get returned which is good. Just gotta get about another 5 yards and he'd be amazing.
