Our fans and this board is a trip

So let me get this straight...after 2 weeks into the Richt era our fans and this board have come to the following conclusions...

Kaaya sucks and is way overrated.

Richts too vanilla and his playcalling is way past his prime re: offensive coordinator duties.

Walton is a first or second day pick in the NFL draft depending on who you ask on this board.

Berrios is the worst punt returner in the history of this program.

Malcolm Lewis has no business seeing the field.

McDermott and St. Louis are busts and we need to go outside the state in order to get quality OL.

Ken Dorsey needs to be brought in immediately to take over playcalling.

I know I may be missing a few but that's the prevailing notion amongst some of the board members.

All of this after two weeks of basically glorified scrimmages.

Ok.

Malcolm Lewis doesn't have any business seeing the field, though.

Since this was down voted a few times, could someone please explain to me why he does deserve to see the field?

Ever since the injury he's been useless, yet they continue to trot him out there. The dude can't run.

For one, the only way that he is going to get better is to play. How do you expect him to get better and become productive by sitting on the bench?

He's a redshirt senior. He's had three years since the injury to get better. He hasn't.

It's time to put him out to pasture. No reason he should see the field unless there are injuries.

Yes, he's been here for three years. But this is his first year in this system. Like every one else he's gotta go through the learning curve. As you mentioned he's coming off an injury, that alone is going to take time. You guys think Richt don't know if a kid can play or not. The last staff's biggest criticism was that they didn't coach up the players on the roster. This new staff knows how to do that and that is what they are doing. With the minutes this kid is getting he is only going to get better. We will need him down the stretch.

If we had sent Redwine out to pasture as so many of you suggested coming into the season we would not have witnessed him blossoming into a player that we will need down the stretch. He got better because the staff is playing him.

So what are some of you looking for? Instant magical results after 5 years of Goldie? Might want to find another team to cheer for as it ain't all going to be perfect this year.
The OP criticized people for making positive comments as well. Apparently we're not allowed to compliment Walton or comment on how great the DL has been. No observations can be shared until at least week 10.

What are you talking about? Lewis got hurt in 2012. THAT'S FOUR YEARS AGO.

And no one suggested putting Redwine out to pasture. Stop making things up.

He got the red shirt so for the sake of an argument four years. The point is still the same. Like you guys were screaming that Redwine was trash coming into the season now that he is becoming a player you want to pretend that there was never any posts suggesting he can't play. This kid will prove you wrong as well.

Fairweather fans

You think after going 71-56 over the last ten years with zero post season wins there are still fair weather fans posting on Miami message boards?
There absolutely are. There are plenty of guys who just like to quibble and squabble so they post here and don't even watch the games. I've seen 3 or 4 regulars on here who said they didn't even see the game.

Get used to it...

There are fans who will always see the glass as half empty no matter what happens.

I'm thoroughly entertained by the constant doom & gloom cats on here, it's just their disposition, they don't know how to think anything different than what they've always thought for the last 15 years.

At the end of the day, all you can do is believe what you believe and not let those who revel in misery bring you down with them.

We're going to win the Coastal this year & Idgaf who doesn't want to believe it... Call me a homer, I'm cool with that, but what I'm not going to do is sit around and expect failure & hope to lose. I'm not saying we're going undefeated or that we're invincible, but I absolutely think we can beat UNC & FSU this year, a lot of fans don't... That's cool, but if we beat them this year, every single one of those fans that predicted us to lose will act like they believed from the start, and all you can do is laugh at'em.
Only in UM message board world is being a "homer" frowned upon and worthy of an apology or explanation.

Let me clue some of you miserable old queens in. Fans are supposed to be homers. That's what being a fan is supposed to be about unless you don't have a team and are just a fan of the game in general. Then you're just a kook.
