There are fans who will always see the glass as half empty no matter what happens.

I'm thoroughly entertained by the constant doom & gloom cats on here, it's just their disposition, they don't know how to think anything different than what they've always thought for the last 15 years.

At the end of the day, all you can do is believe what you believe and not let those who revel in misery bring you down with them.

We're going to win the Coastal this year & Idgaf who doesn't want to believe it... Call me a homer, I'm cool with that, but what I'm not going to do is sit around and expect failure & hope to lose. I'm not saying we're going undefeated or that we're invincible, but I absolutely think we can beat UNC & FSU this year, a lot of fans don't... That's cool, but if we beat them this year, every single one of those fans that predicted us to lose will act like they believed from the start, and all you can do is laugh at'em.

We probably will win the Coastal but only because the teams around us suck. UNC we should beat. We'll have a shot vs FSU and ND but we'll have to play a perfect game. Pitt's running game gives me worries.

I don't think expecting 8-4 or 9-3 is seeing the glass half empty as much as it is being realistic.
I've said multiple times that I think we're going to be 9-3...
My point is, why do we need to qualify it like that? If we win the Coastal, saying its because UNC sucks is definitely glass half empty talk.

We've never won the **** thing, so if we win it this year, there's nothing to be down about, but even if we do win it they'll be people on here still acting like we went 5-7 & to me that's both sad & hilarious.

If the coastal sucks ***(like it does 95% of the time) than it is a near meaningless metric. That's not being picky, just honest. I'll still enjoy it and lose my mind during our first ever ACCCG. Having realistic expectations actually makes for a much more pleasant experience. I can't even imagine what it's like for you guys going into every season thinking it's 2001 all over again.

There was a large(majority) group of people heading into last year talking about how pumped they were for Golden to show-up the mopes. I can't even imagine what their lives are like. It's like reality has to actually have its lips wrapped around their ****s, tongue going crazy, before they realize that they probably have a hooker problem.

Didn't see the game, but didn't need to in order to know what everyone on this board already knows - we will win 8-10 games this year. Don't get upset about not dropping 60+ on FAU. We won the game and will continue to do that against sub-par talent. We'll lose a game we probably shouldn't and may win a game or two we're not favored in. Enjoy the wins and know that it should get better every year.

Too any fan getting mad about Kaaya overthrowing or under throwing passes you obviously haven't watched him the past 2 years. It happens quite often (just being realistic). Today was abnormal though he normally protects the ball pretty well. To throw that 1st int threw me off. Like Blackvern said he seems out of sync so far this year hopefully he pulls it together. I know Walton had a good day but Yearby is still my favorite of the 2 because he moves the chains and for the most part always makes 1 miss. I don't need a home run hitter just someone who will consistently move the chains which Yearby does.

That OL is horrendous and has some to do with BK. I want me a Duel threat already man

Good post and I get you. I agree with much of what you said with a couple of exceptions. First, Golden is gone so there isn't anyone here who is hoping to lose. Secondly I don't necessarily think that pointing out or identifying potential weaknesses is being negative. Those of us who remain on this and other boards are the diehard fans who have stuck with this program through the thick and the thin. Naturally when someone has that much emotion and passion invested in something they can tend to look at things through a microscope and be extremely critical of every minute detail. That doesn't necessarily mean they are miserable as they want the best for the program.

Now do some of us get carried away at times? Yeah most definitely. Are there some *****(for lack of a better word) on here? You bet there are. As far as beating UNC and FSU, I can see where people would have their doubts given our lack of depth. Personally, I think we can beat both teams as long as we get and stay healthy, the OL gets better every week and Kaaya gets his groove back. I know this is moot and counterproductive but I often think that we could have really had a genuine playoff sleeper with the chance to shock people without the injuries and dismissals. Injuries are part of this great game which is why having quality depth is crucial.

The good news is that all of the injuries on the defensive side of the ball minus Gordinier of course are relatively minor and everyone should be good to go as we enter October which is the most demanding part of our schedule. Offensively we have the talent and the versatility to be very potent but as I stated before the OL must improve over the course of the season and Kaaya must complete his adjustment to Coach Richt's more pro style offense.

Kayaa really isn't that good. He gets tunnel vision under the bright lights.

In practice I'm sure Richt is right - that "he's deadly accurate."

How dare we discuss Miami Hurricanes football on a Miami Hurricanes football message board. OP, please let us know the acceptable number of games that need to be played before we can offer up an opinion on how the season is going. Everyone is stupid except for you.

an above average run game and great d-line play will keep us in every game. I wish they were all pretty, but we covered the spread and won by 28. If our biggest problem is that our very good QB had an off day and we won by 28, I'll take it.

Malcolm Lewis doesn't have any business seeing the field, though.

Since this was down voted a few times, could someone please explain to me why he does deserve to see the field?

Ever since the injury he's been useless, yet they continue to trot him out there. The dude can't run.

For one, the only way that he is going to get better is to play. How do you expect him to get better and become productive by sitting on the bench?

So what are some of you looking for? Instant magical results after 5 years of Goldie? Might want to find another team to cheer for as it ain't all going to be perfect this year.

Please outline how exactly the last staff was responsible for the issues people have with yesterday's game?

Kaaya had to run an offense from under center.
CoachDiaz defense was so good our offense didn't know how to react.
Open receivers are hard to throw the ball to without looking at the sideline before the play.
The 4th quarter leak in the roof was distracting.

This.

For the record, Berrios was garbage as a PR since last year.

He's a redshirt senior. He's had three years since the injury to get better. He hasn't.

It's time to put him out to pasture. No reason he should see the field unless there are injuries.

It was his blockers.
He's smart. He'll figure it out.
Richt is a guru. He'll be fine.
Just having trouble adjusting to playing under center.

ah ****.....that was a different excuse list.....
