So let me get this straight...after 2 weeks into the Richt era our fans and this board have come to the following conclusions...

Kaaya sucks and is way overrated.

Richts too vanilla and his playcalling is way past his prime re: offensive coordinator duties.

Walton is a first or second day pick in the NFL draft depending on who you ask on this board.

Berrios is the worst punt returner in the history of this program.

Malcolm Lewis has no business seeing the field.

McDermott and St. Louis are busts and we need to go outside the state in order to get quality OL.

Ken Dorsey needs to be brought in immediately to take over playcalling.

I know I may be missing a few but that's the prevailing notion amongst some of the board members.

All of this after two weeks of basically glorified scrimmages.

Ok.

You're literally the only person I've seen on this board to say most, if not all, of those things.

This board is giddy with excitement over a couple of scrimmages, like you pointed out.

Aren't we all mopes? This team has sucked terribly for a decade. Everyone deals with grief in their own way. But we're not all still posting on fake-grassy because "winning is in our blood."

Peruse the threads a bit and you'll run into all of those thoughts and opinions and more I certainly didn't pull them out of my ***.

Fairweather fans

Yea but when we scored 70 dudes was acting like we won the superbowl. Its fair criticism to me if u a football fan of your team and u think they will have problems its not fairweather to admit those problems

A bunch of them are still mad at Golden for making them look stupid. They were sucking Golden's **** for 3-4 years non stop and when they were wrong about him, they became cynical. They love pointing at the bad stuff in case Mark Richt is a bust, they can say they were right all along. If they are wrong, who cares canes are winning.

And that's the point. Putting up 70 against FAMU doesn't mean you're going to have a great season and not crushing FAU doesn't mean you'll suck. We won't know how this team will do against fsu until we play them, but people can't possibly wait for that. Nothing that's happened so far tells us much about the future.

This board is hilarious. You can't throw down praise to some aspects of the team before people bash you for being overly optimistic. At the same time, You criticize anyone for a poor performance and it's like you're suggesting they never play football again.

Malcolm Lewis doesn't have any business seeing the field, though.

Since this was down voted a few times, could someone please explain to me why he does deserve to see the field?

Ever since the injury he's been useless, yet they continue to trot him out there. The dude can't run.

Get used to it...

There are fans who will always see the glass as half empty no matter what happens.

I'm thoroughly entertained by the constant doom & gloom cats on here, it's just their disposition, they don't know how to think anything different than what they've always thought for the last 15 years.

At the end of the day, all you can do is believe what you believe and not let those who revel in misery bring you down with them.

We're going to win the Coastal this year & Idgaf who doesn't want to believe it... Call me a homer, I'm cool with that, but what I'm not going to do is sit around and expect failure & hope to lose. I'm not saying we're going undefeated or that we're invincible, but I absolutely think we can beat UNC & FSU this year, a lot of fans don't... That's cool, but if we beat them this year, every single one of those fans that predicted us to lose will act like they believed from the start, and all you can do is laugh at'em.

Tbh y'all can complain all you won't, it could be worse.... See golden/coley/donofrio combination of coaches along with their subordinates. I'm still grateful we can watch a Miami defense again and not cringe

We probably will win the Coastal but only because the teams around us suck. UNC we should beat. We'll have a shot vs FSU and ND but we'll have to play a perfect game. Pitt's running game gives me worries.

I don't think expecting 8-4 or 9-3 is seeing the glass half empty as much as it is being realistic.

Weren't we losing games by like 40+ at halftime last year? Some of these dudes act like it's 1996 and we're nitpicking at one missed call here and there. I'd love to see a competitive 9 win team, but I'm not eagerly waiting at the trough for another helping of slop anymore.
