what about his freshmen season when he had 5 sacks? then somehow he magically got worse every yr after only in miami's defense can guys like him tracy and mccord all have pretty **** good true freshmen yrs and never progress

**** i hope so but i doubt it unless golden does a complete overhaul of the defense and completely gets rid of the 3-4 2 gap crap but its golden we are talking about here

aqm is going to have a breakout year and make himself a 1st round talent you will see. people keep hyping up mccord but aqm is way more talented. mccord is stiff with no pass rushing skills. add in 4 players with the gator WILLIS we have guys with major playing time from last year.

we have 2x more depth on the defense this year at every position.

denzel leaving hurts, but don't act like the man wasn't making mistakes. some of you guys want to imagine he was a perfect all-american LB here but that was far from the case if you take away his big hits. honestly do you think he;'s a better NFL prospect then BRANDON SPIKES...because both are 2 down LB's in the nFL.

only player I'm worried about is JAMAL CARTER. the guy is not a very good safety. he literally whiffs big time on tackles and doesn't seem good in coverage.

No1 was saying he he would be an all american. What ppl are saying is he was playing away from his strength; playing out of position. The best way to describe it is when the Raiders had Sapp and playing him as a 3-4 DE. Playing in that position negated his strength. Now, I'm not saying Chik is Sapp, but what can happen if a player plays in a defense that doesn't fit his strength. Chik may not be fast but he has a great burst. Speed doesn't matter that much in a DE. And how do you know what pass rush moves he has? He was asked to be a blob @ Miami. An average coach would play to his players strength.

I don't get the impression that the 3-4 2gap is oh so hard to teach. Its golden/dorito zone stuff that seems to confuse our guys. The 2gap line play is only a problem if you are young, underdeveloped, and lack depth. We have been all those things in the past, but this season we won't be. Still remains to be seen if the guys can upfront can actually get it done.

As for the defense this year:
we should be good up front, ok in the back, vulnerable over the middle and fvcked on the sideline.
