Other Teams Nervous *Added*

At the end of the day, the corpse of Mark Richt went 10-3 here.

I will never, ever believe that the Hurricanes are irrelevant. It just takes one good HC to get this rolling - as much as that pains most of College football.
We get rid of this steaming pile Manure (and him as well) calls a defense and give up a touchdown less a game we win the Coastal.

We aren't exactly in the SEC.

I mean, to be honest, they do make a few good points. If true that mama is moving to Eugene this summer then sounds like it’s a wrap for us.
That can easily change as facts change. People make decisions with the best information they have at the moment. Once the coaching position becomes available, then facts change. I believe that would throw a monkey ranch in the program. The fact that she's been living in Miami for over 4 years is telling to me. IMO..

Sounds no different than our fans talking about other schools, other openings and moves rivals are making.

Sports fans are morons and college football fanatics need help.

Regardless of his ties to Miami, Mario is no dummy and this is gonna be a tough pull. Better be prepared for that.
I think most of us are ok not landing Mario. We just want the coaching search/list to be done right for once..

✅ Cristobal, Kiffin, Stoops, Herman, Freeze

🚫 Schiano, Chud, Trestman, Temple coach, BBB

Stoops should be backchanneled like crazy while we go through the process. Think he'd take the job if offered. BigBoy backup option.

Duck fans…lol…

If true, why wait until next summer? It's just far enough out that nobody expects to see preparations happening and it keeps the current admin/fans thinking you're anchoring to the area.

It may be a wrap for us, or you can view it as how incredibly important Mario's family is to him and how coming to Miami would be a ton easier for everyone (including Mirabal's very close family). I'm not saying it will happen, but that comment only strengthens the argument that Mario's family is a clear factor.
In the last several months, Mario has traveled to Miami to visit family. I am not going to spread any rumors but I am convinced that his family is playing in our favor heavily.

They were bad candidates to begin with & it was easy to see, but guess why they still got the job anyway?

Mario’s Miami connection are not why I prefer Lane, I think Mario is a good coach, but I don’t think what he wants to do here will work in the same time frame because it’s a different dynamic than what was required at Oregon.

Also, the Miami connection for Cristobal has a back end effect that if it works could be something that maintains us being a good program for years down the line, but in the event it doesn’t work we’d be stuck with him because the emotional ties are so strong that regardless of performance he’d be an immovable object that can never be fired.

People are buying high on emotion & selling low on every other aspect, I don’t think either Mario or Lane are championship coaches, but one of them has an formula that is more translatable to the immediate future & the other is predicated on recruiting at a high level in a way that is much more difficult to do in Miami because there’s way more competition.

When USC is down (which they’ve been for the last 4 years), a program like Oregon that has upped it’s recruiting budget & is in the top 13 in spending can dominate West Coast recruiting & load up. Miami’s recruiting is directly tied to the product on the field, if we don’t win the recruits don’t come, so in order to recruit at an optimum level we have to win & win ASAP. What’s fastest way to win, (especially in the ACC)? High octane offense & high level QB play (see Wake, Pitt, etc) so I’m more inclined to lean in that direction because I believe Mario’s style play allows for teams that aren’t as good as yours to hang around in the game cause it’s more about ball & clock control.

At the end of day, I’ve heard & (already thought of) every reason on Earth plus 10 more as to why Mario is the 2nd coming of Christ himself & God help us I hope he is, but until I actually see it here, I’m just not gonna believe that’s how it happens & it’s not because of him or anything like that, I’m just not going to allow emotions to cloud my judgment & fall for fairytales. I think Mario is a great coach, but I’m not going to suddenly transform him into something I don’t think he is just because he might come here.

And I don’t think Lane is the 2nd coming either, in fact I was pretty heavily against Lane coming here like 3 years ago, but given the current circumstances & the landscape of college football I think he’s the best pick for right now. Maybe he won’t be in 2 years & if not I won’t advocate for him, but right now I think he is.

New information can present new perspectives. I’m not actually all-in on any candidate, I’ve just given who I think works for the near future & if they don’t, guess what I’ll do? Change my opinion because I’m not a stubborn fool lol

This. If we get Mario, hes here until he retires unless he strings together an unimaginable stretch of horrible seasons. We're married to that hire.

FSU is going to regret beating us, last weekend.

They got their hopes up but like I said to a friend whose an fsu fan… Miami beat itself that game… for as bad as we played the first half penalities turnovers etc… we still had the lead in the 4th quarter let that sink in… we played as badly as we could and then went up 28-20 in the 4th

A competent DC doesn’t let a guy who can’t throw beat you at the end…. Miami beat themselves

Serious change is coming. It’ll be Mario or Lane in the next 5-10 (or more) years depending on who it is. Miami’s story is about to change and I think perspective will change for us all. We will finally have legit reasons to be excited about our program that doesn’t include cheap gimmicks with no substance.

I like you man

Love how that guy said he read on ESPN that we’re in debt.

Was that a dream???? Because he conjured that up out of thin ******* air.

We are nowhere near in debt. Richt retiring, walking away, and choosing to forgo the rest of his salary helped us immensely.
Lol did he see that we were paying Golden $0.24 a month for his buyout and the judge dismissed and we don’t owe him another dime? Richt retired = no buyout. Don’t think Shannon got anything. If he did it was pocket change. People just make **** up.

The reality is if he read that it’s about LSU or FSU.
