Red Herring. Al Golden has nothing to do with this argument.
I was agreeing with you silly LOL. I was saying His hollow W-L record is exactly how we ended up with Golden.
Red Herring. Al Golden has nothing to do with this argument.
What do you mean? They really aren't all that differentBig thing is he’s at Iowa State. They should be a Kansas/Illinois level school. Games he “should win” would be losses for them 99% of the time.
Golden was G5 and had a losing record at Temple against teams w winning records.Red Herring. Al Golden has nothing to do with this argument.

"Tons". Okay, buddy.Tons. You have google. I’m not saying your take of him being overrated is inaccurate.. but tons of others big time programs disagree with your assessment.
Apply that same logic to Stoops at Kentucky. Not saying you’re wrong, but try it….false. ISU's record vs teams that are ranked higher isn't as good as you are making it seem. After 2017, ISU is horrible vs teams ranked higher.
No.Really? He’s at Iowa St. Literally was a joke before he got there - like 2 bowl games in 3 decades. Last year he beat Oklahoma, Oklahoma St., and Texas, and embarassed Oregon in the bowl game. And he is doing it with 2 and 3 star kids. Does that help at all?
one game isn't the argument. STICK TO THE ARGUMENT.Golden was G5 and had a losing record at Temple against teams w winning records.

I'm not the one arguing for Stoops lol. He has nothing to do with my argument.Apply that same logic to Stoops at Kentucky. Not saying you’re wrong, but try it….
Google it. Literally linked to USC, Florida, LSU, ND jobs just this season. (Heck ND/Washington still might get him) Go back a season & see the same. Same with 2019, etc. Do the legwork. He’s tip of the sword."Tons". Okay, buddy.
I said Kansas, not Kansas StateWhat do you mean? They really aren't all that different

I’m sure he didn’t mean “always.” Would you feel better if he said “generally” or “usually.” Because you can’t argue with that. He does.one game isn't the argument. STICK TO THE ARGUMENT.
The poster said that Matt Campbell has always beaten teams that are more talented than his. And that is simply not true since 2017.
U-Dub hired the coach from Fresno St, and Campbell isn't getting the ND job.Google it. Literally linked to USC, Florida, LSU, ND jobs just this season. (Heck ND/Washington still might get him) Go back a season & see the same. Same with 2019, etc. Do the legwork. He’s tip of the sword.
Brother, not since 2017. I posted the W-L's on my original post discussing Matt Campbell.I’m sure he didn’t mean “always.” Would you feel better if he said “generally” or “usually.” Because you can’t argue with that. He does.
Fickell would be my guess but it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest.U-Dub hired the coach from Fresno St, and Campbell isn't getting the ND job.
All I posted was a cool video. Your argument on W-L record isn’t with me. I’m just saying he’s well thought of & highly coveted in the coaching world. He may have missed leaving with the iron was hottest but make no mistake, he could still leave.Google this:
None of those teams hired him. You cannot honestly believe every single tweet that says "this coach being considered by this school" is accurate....because you're not an idiot. You're not. The fact is this: LSU, USC, ND, Miami, OU, UF, which are all top 25 jobs, are not going to hire him. Campbell had a GREAT 2017.....but he has not consistently beaten better teams (that is the argument).
first of all. RELAX susan, I'm not saying he's my top candidate but I will prove that you have no idea what you're talking aboutW-L's don't lie. Since 2017, his teams don't consistently beat other talented/more talented teams. That's the argument. The argument isn't what he has done for ISU's program. the argument is (from the post I was replying to) that Matt Campbell consistently beats teams better than his team, and that is not true in the past four years.
I see, my bad. My point is that I don't really see him as any more special than other random coaches at historically bad schools. People act like Iowa state were the washington generals or something and that's just not trueI said Kansas, not Kansas State
