(OT)... What schools produce the worst NFL talent other than ohio st. At the QB position??? (It can be any postion besides QB)

I’ll throw Oregon in the mix ....even tho Herbert might break that cycle
Yeah, Joey Harrington and Akili Smith were major busts.

That Fouts kid turned out okay though.

All jokes aside, who else have they had drafted 1st-2nd round? I can’t think of any.

One thing about some of these QBs, like Lawrence, is they haven’t faced adversity. TL lost 2 games in three years in HS, and one in college to date. Clemson dominates most opponents. He didn’t look ‘all time great’ against LSU, but did lead a comeback down 16-0 Ohio State.

Assuming he’s a day one starter at Jacksonville, Lawrence will lose more games in his first eight starts than his high school and college years combined.

Pat Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers weren’t on powerhouses at Texas Tech and Cal, so you could at least try and gauge mental toughness in games. Rodgers was the primary reason Cal was a top 10 team his last season.

Mahomes' evaluations ended up being trash. They focused way too much on the negatives (his wild play and the system he came from) and not every other aspect of his game which was incredible. The same for Rodgers, sans the wild play. He was labeled a Tedford system QB and they ignored the fact that he was a pretty ridiculous player. Deshaun Watson was nitpicked over for "ball placement" and other minutae of his game and ignored the fact that he was just a ******* baller.

I'm not saying those concerns aren't valid...but if Lawrence is legit, it doesn't matter that he'll have a rough go at it early in his career with Jacksonville.

Another Urban Meyer special. Same problem as Nick Saban quarterbacks. They are protected by stud offensive lines and unbelievable wide receivers. They rarely have to throw in tight windows.

They talked about that at length in the Fins-Raiders game. Tua was scared throw the ball downfield because they weren't "Alabama wide open."

Most of these guys are just so annoying. I’m sorry I missed that. They talked about that at length in the Fins-Raiders game. Tua was scared throw the ball downfield because they weren't "Alabama wide open."

Did they really? I rarely watch games with the volume on anymore.

Yeah but which College QB does though? Every College OC "schemes their WRs open", even Clemson's, I've seen Lawrence throw to wide open WRs.

The only Gator NFL standouts I can think of are Emmitt Smith and Aaron Hernandez. Tim Tebow was not an NFL standout; and could've stayed in the league as a FB or TE if he checked his ego.

I'm not trying to be anti-gator; I think those are the two best NFL prospects the Florida Gators ever put in that were all-pro, and correct me if I'm wrong.

I can think of way more FSU guys that turned out to be pretty good. Two of whom are HOF's.

I think Trevor is the most sure thing at QB since probably Peyton Manning. The down side is going to be he’s gonna play for the Jags.

Pretty much every other QB in recent memory - until Burrow and then back to Luck - fell into a box of uncertainty and concern over something. Those 2 almost check every box and their weaknesses aren’t exactly weak.
Lawrence And Luck are probably the same player actually. Lawrence’s offense does him a lot of favors that the pro style offense luck ran in college did not offer. When he plays equal level talent his decision making is about the same. Neither are horrible decision makers but both do become gamblers under pressure

Yes He was, and that's why I singled Him out. As several people in this thread have mentioned, the expectations for the USC QB never matches the hype, I'd suspect them as sending more legit busts to league.

I completely agree w this statement, and have been quick to mention how their QBs never matched the hype. ****, u can go back to Pat Hayden who was supposed to be The Rams savior in the earlier years. I remember when Mitch Mustain was supposed to be a “can’t miss” 5 star QB for SC....flopped.

I mean Sean Salisbury, Todd “dope” Marinovich, Vince Evans, Matt “Next Generation” Barkley, Matt Leinart, Mark Sanchez, Rob Johnson, Sam Darnold, Cody Kessler, etc. We’re talking about high 4 to 5 star guys, here. Many were top 4 at their position in the entire nation. I mean, Palmer did OK, but based upon his hype, I would call him a quiet bust, too. Rodney Peete had a long career, but he was a 6th round guy that stayed as a serviceable back up for the most part.

SC has been bust city w/ it’s QBs

I told them boys Fields was garbage when he was this super sought out recruit.
Boy remind me of Jamies. Put pressure on him and he starts doing stupid stuff with the ball. Same for all these QB bust in the league. Go there whole college careers facing no adversity then get to the league where the playing field is equal they go full “Bust”

Yea I really have to see how they are under pressure. Hard to see at these top schools bc guys run wide open. Tua stinks Mac Brown may stink too. Fields idk about him yet. Zack Wilson is a stud. Trask stud. Trey Lance absolute garbage. Lawrence stud.
