OT: UCF QB is ****ed off about Notre Dame.

No one on earth thinks that Auburn showed up for that game as though it was a meaningful, regular season contest. They had just lost a playoff spot in that same building.
So a team didnt show up to a big time bowl game bcuz motivation wasnt there? Sounds like a coaching debacle. Miami was snubbed out of a National title game and showed up to play in their bowl game. But, all we heard was that if UCF played a SEC team they would be whooped. Well they did, and they won, and then there's these excuses that a team didnt want to play in the game lol get outta here with that. I dont think they were the best team last year. But ppl kept bringing up excuses as to why they didnt belong, and they have answered those and theres just more excuses or the same excuses being brought up.

Utah Beat a 1 loss Alabama, Nick Saban coached team that had no interest in being in the Sugar Bowl. It certainly happens. Utah didn't buy themselves rings either.

Kid should stop crying about Notre Dame and start crying FOR an 8 team playoff. Let these jokers have one of the 3 at-large spots in that format.

O I think the national title talk is a joke and laugh at my friends from UCF about it. BUT, do I think this team gets slighted and deserves a chance to play in the playoffs? I do! If only to just see what would happen? Would the other teams motivation be questioned if they end up losing? lol

I don't think they "deserve" to be ahead of Michigan or Georgia at all. Now should they be ranked 11th and not right behind those 2 in case they both slip up? Sure I could see that.

Why not? Michigan has beaten 1 ranked team, Penn State. And Penn State sucks to be quite honest. If they dont have a run game, they lose. There loss is to ND who has beaten 1 ranked team, Michigan. ND has struggled against teams like Vandy and Pitt. Georgia is a team I do believe should be ranked ahead of UCF but then looking at Georgia's schedule, do i think UCF would have the same record as them? I do. The best defense is a good offense. And just like Oklahoma, this team just outscores people.

I'm okay with them being in the playoffs to watch them get their brains beat in.

Michigan has played 3 ranked teams thus far, beaten 2, plays another one in Ohio State. UCF has yet to play a ranked team.

I'm not sure UCF would beat West Virginia to be perfectly honest.

At this point, I'm cool with it. Put them at the #4 spot against Bama and see how that works out. They'd get beat so bad they'd probably settle for not getting in ever again.
Josh Heupal would have to buy the entire team therapy dogs. Them boys would be so shook.

Penn State mopped Pitt already this year. Nortwestern is probably comparable to Pitt. That division of the conference is close to as bad as the Coastal.
O **** didnt see that Penn State one lol. But yea Northwestern is ranked just bcuz they are in the Big 10 so I dont really value that ranked team. But that Penn State victory over Pitt just helps UCF really. UCF and Penn St both destroyed Pitt, yet ND struggled. ND has beaten 1 ranked team and is #3. Why? Bcuz they are ND. if ND and UCF switched schedules, ND would still be #3 and UCF would still be #11

And UCF only beat Navy by 11 and ND beat them by 22. The Pitt argument is now a wash. ND is where they are because they are undefeated with a win over a playoff team.

Difference between that scenario is that ND needed a 4th quarter TD to win at home, while UCF gave up a late 4th quarter TD to just make it an 11 point victory and not 18. So answer me this, would ND would still be in the playoffs if they switched schedules with UCF?

Not sure they would be in top 4. I certainly don't think so. But they wouldn't be ranked 11 either.

actually, if UCF was smart they would find a break clause and go independent. Play ND's schedule and you can take their spot.
