OT: Tua vs Watson

I'm a Tua supporter, but you trade the world for Watson. That's a decade-plus trade.

How much value have guys like Brady, Brees, Wilson, Rodgers and Ben represented for their franchises? Twelve first rounders? It's impossible to calculate the value of a 25-year-old, Top 5 QB.

And the players you just named, I can only see one or two in the league still in three years. People dont even realise the arms race that is about to happen in the NFL. It's crazy to me that Dallas still has not tried to lock up Dak.

Seahawks traded 2 1sts for a box safety. Rams traded 2 1sts, 2 2nds, 2 3rds for the Jared Goff pick. Phins fans think they can get one of the most valuable players in the league for a rookie QB who struggled and a 1st or some pupu platter of day 2 picks. Get real.
While this is true, you have to know that the situation in Houston has gotten worse. It looks like the texans have brought in some or will bring in some minority candidates for appearances sake only. If Watson wants out and he wants to stick it to houston he could try to force a favorable trade deal for Miami, knowing Miami will need some picks.

So just because teams gave up 1st rounders in the past, doesn't mean it has to this time. And like the NBA, Watson could drive this on his terms, if he feels Houston is toxic.

Jets might be the favorite now for Watson. He’s a big fan of Saleh. Fins should not let that happen if it’s a bidding war. Then you’re playing Watson and Josh Allen twice a year and who knows what New England is gonna pull out.

Similar scenario to one of the many rationales of Sean Marks - do I want to play Harden/Embiid for the next 3 years or do I want that guy on my team for the next 3 years. In this case, Dolphins need a much longer view

Has there been any real talks between any teams yet?

Doesn’t sound like it, but seems like the favorites now might actually be the Jets. Idk why anyone would want to live/get paid in NY instead of FL.. But Houston would probably rather have Darnold instead of Tua and that’s whats been smoke about recently.
