Ot: tom herman is no savage

The week to week "gotcha" morons are constantly puking on themselves. Now, Petrino is garbage.
This. And it took these same functional retards 4 1/2 years to realize al golden was a **** coach.

Coaches with a track record are knocked from game to game, but Al Golden needs 10 years to be properly judged.

Silly thread. Tom Herman now has wins against:

FSU
Oklahoma
Louisville

All of this happened inside of a year.

Would we not kill for that at Miami right now? When was the last time we had a singular big win, much less 3?

didnt al golden beat ohio state? didnt randy shannon beat oklahoma and FSU?

Let's address that.

Shannon's wins:

2007 FSU finished 7-6
2009 FSU finished 7-6
2009 OU finished 8-5 (and were without Bradford and Gresham in that game)

Golden beat an OSU team that finished 6-7

Herman's wins:

2015 FSU 10-3
2016 OU 8-2
2016 UL 9-2

Both OU and UL were in the Top 5 at the time.
FSU finished #14 in the country even factoring in the Houston game.

Apples and oranges.

He's 2-0 against them over the past 2 seasons ... We're 0-2 in our last 2 against them.

So it's been established he can beat FBS powerhouses at Houston in his first two years. But only at Miami it's this long drawn out process.

other than FSU lousville hasnt beat anyone. not 1 team worth a ****.

You guys kill me. Herman's team craps the bed two seasons in a row to UCONN, Navy and SMU, now a good win over an overrated L'ville and he's king of football all over again.

Is he a good coach, sure, but at the end of the day he's lost to the likes of Tulane, UCF, and UTSA(Cokers boys) along with the teams mentioned above.

and I'd like to see a show of hands of who thinks Houston would beat Oklahoma at this point in the season.

Quit lying. He's 22-3 as a head coach so when did he lose to Tulane, UCF, and UTSA.

The guy always wins the games he's not supposed to win. I didn't realize he should be undefeated at 25-0.

You're right, my bad that was the season prior to his arrival.

Not sure if this is real or sarcasm.

What would be sarcastic?

Are those teams Herman beat not national powers? All were in the top 10 when he beat them. 2015 FSU finished #14 (went into the Peach Bowl game with UH #9 ) and OU and UL will probably finish in the top 10-15.

Did Houston have the talent advantage in those games, yes or no?

Quick, Miami's last W against a team that finished in the top 15?

If any coach at Miami did what Herman did since last Dec, would we not be ecstatic? Would you trade any of those wins for an SMU and Navy loss?

Slight threadjack, but I'm willing to give Richt his 3 years. This isn't to rag on him. But is Houston some kind of talent Mecca?

Just can't help these fools. He took a team that went 16-10 the 2 seasons prior and like you said has them at 22-3. Including 3 top 10 wins against legit opponents that Houston has no business beating.

Imagine that, out coaching a team to a victory. Beating a team with more talent. Crazy.

Herman is a savage, jealous of whoever picks him up. I wish we had a real AD at Miami, they would have thrown 4-5 mil at Herman and made him so no.

I've said it since Miami hired him, I'm more than happy we got Richt. But Herman would've knocked it out of the ******* park here. Only problem would be he would have left after 4 to 5 years for greener pastures.

After Houston stepped up to keep him, he wasn't leaving there last year.

$3.5 million salary, $5 million bonus for Houston becoming a P5 team. A commitment to build an IPF, with deadline dates that allow him to leave the school with no penalty if they don't deliver, and a very fertile recruiting area to continue building his team.

I don't care who the AD was ... Herman wasn't leaving Houston for Miami, IMO.
