Ot: tom herman is no savage

Wow look at how sensitive yall are over Tom Herman lol I know one thing though, as much as you two hate on Coach Richt Miami ain't losing to Navy and SMU lol

Yep, but Herman isn't losing to Fsu either. He actually blew them out with far less talent.

So in other words :
Beating unmotivated FSU team and losing to three non P5 programs in past two years (including one blowout to a 3-5 team) =impressive coaching
Beating 4 non P5 programs by an average of almost 40 points and losing to FSU in rivalry game by 1 = coaching failure

Interesting

One of us is a homer and one is just being realistic . Only a dumbass or homer thinks Richt is better than Herman. Just stop . But continue being " that guy".

Btw, you spoke factually that Richt beats Navy but that's not factual , and after what I've seen from the offense we could possibly lose to them . But Herman actually now out Fsu . So I'm using facts and you're using assumptions.

Haha so you are being realistic that a coach with 15 career wins who had one excellent season in the American conference and is severely underperforming in his second season with the same team is obviously better than Richt, who has strung together 10 win seasons year after year in the SEC for 16 years. Ok buddy.

6-2 at Houston with a win over a top 10 Oklahoma team is "severely underperforming" in your world? Yet you have a laundry list of excuses for 4-3 at Miami with losses to every decent team we have played?

Being #6 on the verge of a playoff spot and losing to Navy and SMU is far beyond "severely underperforming".

Last year, #13 ranked at the time and undefeated with an easy path to college FB playoffs, loses to a UCONN team that finished 6-7. Definition of a choke.
This season #6 in the country, lose to a then unranked service academy, then gets blown out by 3-4 Mustang team (Mr. Offensive Genius scored the same amount of points as Mark Richt).

We lost by one to an FSU team that has double the number of five stars as the team that played in the national championship last year and is currently ranked #16
Inside the Florida State-Clemson showdown: Recruiting

By 7 to UNC , defending ACC Coastal champs (6-2 currently ranked #22 )

And by 21 to Hokies (5-2, ranked #25 )

So our three losses came to teams currently ranked #16 , #22 , and #25 .

Houston lost to #22 Navy (a service academy!) and by 22 points to an unranked SMU team that is below .500. Wins some big games but blows easy games against vastly inferior opponents. Yup, that coach Herman is a savage who is head and shoulders above Mark Richt alright.

Al Golden was in huge demand after leading Temple to it's first winning season in 20+ years. He turned down Wisconsin and Penn State for us.

So Houston and Miami is an apples to apples comparison from a program standpoint? We recruit at the same level?

So you are denying Golden was in demand even though I posted two articles showing just that. Your response to actual facts is "nuh uh that's not true." When Herman shows he can win consistently over a period of years, I'll be impressed. Example: Chris Peterson at Boise State, years of success, not surprised he is doing well in Washington. You all are getting a chubby over Herman's one year of success in the American conference and making ridiculous excuses for his terrible losses.

Folks like you are the reason con artists are so successful. "You have an amazing new investment system that produced 108% returns in one year? Here take all my money!" People with any **** sense will want to see several years of data and sustained performance before getting wowed.

Yes, I am denying that. There were internet articles linking Mario Cristobal to multiple jobs this offseason. I can write an article right now that links Leonardo DiCaprio to ******* pidgeons. Means nothing.

Then write that and post it on sbnation or ESPN.

thanks Lu, Dmoney, and Chise. Way to ruin this place.

Yall got the fans turning on the coach in year 1

This from the dude repeatedly calling for Searels' head. That's rich.

Im calling for the Oline coaches head for CLEAR bad technique thats causing them to regress from last year.

Youre calling out the head coach.

You may be a little "wealthier" than i.

Yall realize he handles the offense right? They put up 40 on navy defense couldnt get their **** together they didnt lose that game on his coaching. Smu was a bad loss ill adnit but would still take him anyday. Herman pair with Diaz would be lights out

Offense underperformed only vs smu which is what he coaches, that navy game wasnt on him

There is no way in **** Herman would do anything with Kaaya and our line. He absolutely HAS TO have a mobile qb.

LOL. yall couldnt name 1 coach that would have done better with this team than Richts doing.

Do you guys understand that a coach who over-achieves at a lower tier program can be even more successful at a bigger program? (access to better athletes, bigger recruiting budgets, etc)

All this **** yall saying about Herman could've been said about Saban when he was at MSU.

I like Richt but he almost always had equal (or more) talent than the teams he faced throughout his career. It's not like he was working wonders and making chicken salad out of chicken ****.

I look at guys like Meyer, Babers, Herman, Fuente, Fedora, etc...and I look at how they've DONE MORE with LESS throughout their careers. That's what you should look for IMO. That's the sign of a good coach.

You guys (for some reason) look at coaches like that and you focus on their losses instead of acknowledging the fact that they still produced double-digit wins at mediocre programs.

A guy who goes 10-3 at Georgia gives you wood, but a guy who goes 10-3 at Houston is overrated? LOL

Let's not forget that Richt has had a few 8 win seasons and even went 6-7 one year. LOL if you think Herman ever does that.
