Ot: tom herman is no savage

Yall realize he handles the offense right? They put up 40 on navy defense couldnt get their **** together they didnt lose that game on his coaching. Smu was a bad loss ill adnit but would still take him anyday. Herman pair with Diaz would be lights out

There is no way in **** Herman would do anything with Kaaya and our line. He absolutely HAS TO have a mobile qb.

LOL. yall couldnt name 1 coach that would have done better with this team than Richts doing.

I'll name one: James Coley.

So you think that James Coley couldve taken over this team of kids and coach them better if he didnt have a part in their recruitment? or truly know their gameday abilities?

I highly doubt that.

Justin Fuente didn't know VT's "gameday abilities" (I'm not even sure what that means, as Rick has been with these guys for many months and had 3 exhibition games in which to coach them and observe their "gameday abilities"). He coached circles around Rick.

Post Clemson that's incorrect. Kaaya is full Cougar.

OK

There's a lot of coaches that would have our offense looking better right now. You can't be serious.

There are a lot of coaches who would be out of QBs with the team we have right now.

6-2 at Houston with a win over a top 10 Oklahoma team is "severely underperforming" in your world? Yet you have a laundry list of excuses for 4-3 at Miami with losses to every decent team we have played?

Being #6 on the verge of a playoff spot and losing to Navy and SMU is far beyond "severely underperforming".

These guys couldn't see the hypocrisy if it was a rattlesnake attached to their jugulars. Your dealing with minds who are so blinded by bias that logic doesn't even exist anymore.

A running qb allows some luxury, man. You know this

someone here is triggered

go find a safe space ***** boy

I know that Cribby and Franchise are flustered right now, but calling them ***** is a little out of line.

I have to admit. I'm kinda jealous that I don't have a stalker of your caliber the way Franchise does.

I gotta step up my game

Won't be long before I see that fluffy mullet protruding from behind the ficus hedge by my bedroom window.

This guy's got an unsavory obsession with The Living Legend. Look how many times he's quoted me and mentioned my name in the last few days. I don't even acknowledge the weirdo, yet he continues to spree quote me in every thread I'm in. He's giving JeeperAssFace a run for his money as my top buttsniffing weirdo.

LMFAO!!! BRUTAL!!!

Tom Herman is about to lose 4-5 games against much weaker comp than the ACC, with a team that had playoff potential smh

lol @ Franchise and friends embarrassing themselves all over this thread trying to down play Houston like they never had a good football program before Tom Herman took the job.

"Much weaker competition " proves how much you don't know. He's losing to teams in his conference , three games going on two years . But hey, don't let facts get in the way . Continue with your hot takes and being " mr different ". Even though any person with a lick of football knowledge knows Herman is da goods. That's why every college AD with an opening will be blowing him after the season .

Do you guys understand that a coach who over-achieves at a lower tier program can be even more successful at a bigger program? (access to better athletes, bigger recruiting budgets, etc)

All this **** yall saying about Herman could've been said about Saban when he was at MSU.

I like Richt but he almost always had equal (or more) talent than the teams he faced throughout his career. It's not like he was working wonders and making chicken salad out of chicken ****.

I look at guys like Meyer, Babers, Herman, Fuente, Fedora, etc...and I look at how they've DONE MORE with LESS throughout their careers. That's what you should look for IMO. That's the sign of a good coach.

You guys (for some reason) look at coaches like that and you focus on their losses instead of acknowledging the fact that they still produced double-digit wins at mediocre programs.

A guy who goes 10-3 at Georgia gives you wood, but a guy who goes 10-3 at Houston is overrated? LOL

Let's not forget that Richt has had a few 8 win seasons and even went 6-7 one year. LOL if you think Herman ever does that.

Coach, If I can give you another up vote I would. You hit every point I thought about, but couldnt put it in writing, Thank You!! I like the Richt hire. I just think a Herman hire would have been a BIGGER BUZZ, even if he only stays for 5 years. jmo

Coach Richt apologists pointing at any coach that loses a game to feel better. Bottom feeders.

It's clearly much weaker competition Tom Herman has choked this season away.

Hol' up..

Is this a Tom Herman isn't that good thread?

Or a Mark Richt is better than Tom Herman thread?

Cause if we're gonna dissect every loss Heman has then perhaps we should go through Richt's career with the same comb.

It'll take about 3 minutes to dissect Herman's losses.

LOL at these losers sitting around waiting for top guys to slip so they can have their call out moments. I'm surprised we're not seeing "Urb is overrated af" threads popping up.

it is a no coach is a savoir who is immune to losing thread. 1 season at houston is not enough to call someone a sure fire savage.

savage coaches dont lose to 2-4 teams who play in the AAC. if they do it **** sure isnt by over 3 TDs. this SMU team lost by 30 to TCU and by 25 to Temple. Their two wins were over North Texas and Liberty.

It's way to early to pass judgement on Herman. It's clear that, for the most part, he's done a great job in his 1+ season in Houston. That said, the list of guys who won big at the mid major level but crashed with the big boys is long. Comparing the losses to Navy and SMU to Miami losing to FSU UNC and VT is laughable though. Houston losing to SMU is more akin to Miami losing to App State. The talent level at Houston is far and away better than everyone else in the AAC. At least it was after they beat Oklahoma, were ranked 6 and were being discussed as a playoff team. Somehow, the narrative has shifted after losses to inferior teams and their one big win was against a 4-3 Oklahoma team. Don't know how the talent level dropped so fast during the course of one half season but apparently, it has. Honestly there's no excuse for Houston to lose to any AAC team, let alone a terrible one in SMU. It would be like Alabama losing to Kentucky.

There's absolutely no excuse for it

you don't get your @ss beat by SMU after beating oklahoma and FSU not long ago

Tom Herman is choking in the American Athletic conference against far inferior talent, with a team with playoff caliber talent??? please compare that to Mark Richt's career Coach Macho

and lol @The Fanchise even bringing up Urban Meyer as if Herman is anywhere near his level... you fake UM fans are hilarious

And weren't you all waiting for Charlie Strong to slip when he was considered a top guy? stop embarrassing yourselves all over this thread lmao
