OT: The SEC Rightfully Gets A Lot of Hate But....

There’s something rotten to the core with those schools.

Also on this board the SEC gets a lot of love. The canes “fans” tremble in fear of 9-4 teams because they are in the SEC and have a team of middle schoolers watching film.

Don't get me started on the SEC fangirls around here but I digress...

Right now I can't help but think of the scorched Earth that'd be where a school used to exist if ANY of these Big Ten perv scandals went down at a Miami or even a USC type of school.

The problem is, the NCAA cares more about maintaining the athletes' "amateur status" than they do about actual heinous crimes. That's why they want to drop the hammer any time some poor kid (heaven forbid) gets something for free. Meanwhile, pedophilia and rape scandals don't even register on their radar.

We really shouldn’t need the NCAA to police pedophilia and sexual abuse.

The Big 10 needs a permanent monitor.

The thing is, these programs would care a lot more about preventing this sort of thing if it actually impacted their athletic programs.

Yeah, so Sandusky raped a bunch of little boys while Paterno knew about it and the school had to pay out money to victims but the football team proffits more than offset any lawsuit payouts or bad publicity, so the school doesn't really care.

As long as the athletic departments at places like PSU, MSU, OSU and Baylor keep raking in money, the safety of children and/or women is of minor concern.

Well, with Clappy, Radar, and Golden - we've acquired a certain level of expectation conditioning. We've had our asses smoked for so long, by so many, it's a process to recover.

Shalala and the Board past - should be hung. Hanged. Hung and then Hanged.

Pfft. The NCAA doesn't care about amateur status, unless it benefits one of their profit making babies to go after someone, they look the other way. They know full well several of these "schools" are playing kids that have been paid. They want their rankings more than their amateur status. Now if Miami gets accused of it, they will try to drop the hammer on us. Why? Because it benefits schools like Alabama. It's freaking dirty as ****, and as long as the NCAA is policing itself, expect it to continue. It's why their investigation against us went on forever, but a school like UNC can commit all kinds of academic fraud and have it all just go away. Disgusting.

The B14 has always been a 2nd class conference.

They're some of the biggest cheaters in college football, the thing that makes them different is their propensity to act high & mighty turning their nose up as if they're squeaky clean.

They act all sanctimonious, but they have long standing traditions of being complete POS & the worst among worst when it comes to hypocrisy.

The $ec are slick salesmen, everybody knows they cheat & cover sh*t up, they deny it then wink at you, it's that old school Southern thing with them. But with the B1G, they swear to be the most morally superior & follow all the rules to the T, then when they get caught in a scandal they fight tooth & nail pretending as if they had no idea.

I hate the $ec for their cheating in recruiting & because UF, but I dislike the B14 just as much because of their phoniness & arrogance.

College sports is rotten to the core. A corrupt system that rewards further corruption. The bigger it gets, the more scandals comes out. College athletics will be drastically different in the next few decades. There is too much ****
