grove is pretty dead these days

Dude, WTF happened to that place?

I slid through there recently and it was dead!

People heard Paranos was recommending it. Boom. Dead.

Confirmed by Geo.

Dude, you might as well stay on Fort Lauderdale beach. The game ain't nowhere near South Beach. (unless you've never been to South Beach before and insist on experiencing it)

Downtown Fort Lauderdale has more bars/clubs than you can shake a stick at. (or shake your d!ck at, depending what you're looking for)

Same thing happened to me. Depressing. I guess students go to South Beach, Design District and Midtown now ...

Why I said margaritaville on the Hollywood Boardwalk. Place is awesome, with plenty to do and maybe 20 minutes from cypress creek.

I'm looking for a place to have a great time with bars and restaurants nearby so I don't have to worry about spending a fortune on a taxi

You can rent out my condo in Wyndwood..... I'll leave the key under the flower pot..

I grew up in Broward and we used to drive all the way down there to hang out cause it was jumpin. When I went recently I was shocked. They removed Johnny Rockets and everything.

South FLA is a forever changing place. Not too many things stay long.

Yeah that's a good suggestion. I drove by it the other day. Looked cool from the outside. Is there nightlife there though? I'm sure the OP wants to see some tail while he's in town.

Real cool place. Boardwalk there is live. Maybe 10 minutes up us-1 to downtown. Easy cab ride.

I agree with the posters who suggest Fort Lauderdale. There's plenty of nice places near the beach. It's a short cab/uber ride to the downtown/Las Olas area and the spring game is closer. The Margaritaville resort in Hollywood is really nice but the nightlife in Hollywood beach is more catered around an older crowd. South Beach is the international tourist destination but in reality, locals don't hang out there much these days.
