It’s a 4, maybe 5 out of ten imo. Nowhere in the same stratosphere as the previous Carters, and four is the only one that’s even in the area code.

The production is terrible , majority of the beats suck. Open safe is one of the few beats I like. Lyrically it’s average at best , there’s some clever word play here and there but it’s not close to his previous stuff.

Tbh , Wayne hasn’t been good for close to a decade , unless it’s features.

I’d consider myself a Wayne fan but I just have no clue what the guys in this thread are talking about, I actually listened a couple more times because I thought I might be tripping.

It’s an average Little Wayne album at best.
 
In today’s music ecene 23 songs is longgg lol. But this was a very good album man. I think expecting Dedication 1/2, Da Drought is Over 2, Carter 2, No Ceilings Wayne is a stretch, he’s in a different space. But this album delivered compared to his recent output.

I think that’s what it is, I don’t think it’s good, average at best. But he’s been so bad recently it’s the less smelly **** in the bowl. People were expecting horrible and since it’s average they’re like “ this is really good”.

The Prefix was one of his best. Think that was a mixtape though.
 
We will never see the 2004-2009 weezy again.... He was too hungry back then... That Wayne was ridiculous.... Tha Carter v is well ok... 23 songs is too much but it does have a couple a dope *** tracks on there

That’s what’s hard about hip hop. I give a rapper 3 maybe 4 really good to great albums. Then it normally starts tending downward.

The window is small.

Because you’re hungry , you have so much too put down on the pad. From bad experiences , struggle and grinding to get to that point.

But eventually you lose that , or just forget about it.

It’s hard to ***** or draw motivation when you’ve reached the top and have more money than god.

There’s some exceptions to my rule , and Wayne has been one of them.

U are 100% correct. Think about how hungry 50 was before get rich or die trying came out.... He hasn't been no where near as good as that album since....

I can't stand the kid. The kid makes all of NY look bad. Even if he was the greatest rapper alive I would hate him with his ***aloon hair and teeth, but the fact that his music actually sucks makes it even worse lmao. I wanted to see him get his *** whooped when he went to LA and chicago lol.
