OT: Tau exchange with reporter

No matter what happens as to paying players there are always gonna be schools like Baga that do it to a higher level.

They talk about letting kids sell their jerseys.Ok .whats to stop one booster from buying 500 of them.Seems to me paying players ( which I don’t ever see happening because of title IX) will just make it easier to cheat.Only difference is that at least ALL players would have some money as opposed to just the stud players.

I look at this in the eyes of a diehard fan, but reversing roles and being one of these families and kids, that’s a whole lot of freaking money.
I’d like to know how many of these south Florida kids families are going up there to games, driving or flying it’s not cheap. Maybe there’s a jet waiting at some municipal airport gassed up ready for Tuscaloosa.

We need a Duke Johnson type recruit who is coming to Miami no matter what and we tell him to go undercover for us and collect as much money as he can from as many schools possible and bring down the entire SEC

Saban is also tied in with some type of property management company. They own a bunch of properties. Players, family’s of players, live in them.
I haven’t seen this broughten up before but it’s very true. Property management companies can essentially own a college town. No doubt they cheat but they also have support that most other programs will simply never have.

It's not tied to Saban, himself.

Everything is conduit through the Bama booster program.

The Bama booster program is donating to local Alabama churches, and the churches are funneling money to recruits and players' families. Notwithstanding the plush jobs boosters are giving players' families as well.

The illegal benefits are much more sophisticated than they were 20 - 40 years ago. The cheating is institutionalized - with no direct ties to Saban if this was ever exposed.

These boosters aren't stupid. They know what they're doing.

The NCAA isn't going to do anything to one of their sacred cows.

Looking at this objectively, how could you be mad that these kids are selling their talents to the highest bidder?

I’d be willing to say that pretty much everyone on this board does the same exact thing in their own respective careers. Soo how can you blame these kids? ITS CAPITALISM! A huge reason why our country is so great.

Where do I have a problem with it? I have a problem with it all being under the table and “illegal” from a NCAA standpoint.

I’m totally okay with these kids getting paid, it’s the right thing to do! Sell your talents to the highes bidder! BUT this should all be out in the open and not being blantantly hidden from the average fan like it is today. That is the worst part of it.

Ah, I see where you are going there, much like a ho's view of capitalism and fundamental economic principal.

I say, let kids get paid to advertise and sign with an agent out of high school. They'd still get a free ride to the school of their choice and it would create a lot more parity (hometown kids more likely to 'stay home' wherever home is or go to whatever "dream school" they choose with bags being less of an issue).

So there’s a reason why I know this. I live out west and I know someone who is as close to Tua’s family as you can be without actual being related. I’m not going to say who he is just because that wouldn’t fair to him. He’s a really nice guy.

He confirmed that the family was moved over for free. He also confirmed that the family had jobs lined up. Everyone knows that so that’s not like breaking news. However, he said that Tua’s family was, “Renting,” through one of these property management companies. Here’s a little bonus for you all.

He also said that Jeudy had some sort of a family member up in Alabama who was also, “Renting,” through one of these property mnagement companies. So I asked him, “Do they even pay rent?” He doesn’t say yes or no. Instead, he starts talking about how college football is a big business and how all the big programs have done this sort of thing in the past. It’s just the way it is.

His dad said he still beats him when he makes mistakes so maybe that’s why Tua is gunshy.

Sabag is so brazen at this point that he doesn’t even try to hide that he moved Tua’s entire village to TuKKKaloo. They’re on Gameday all 400 of them talking about having a Luau at the Walmart parking lot.
A previous poster claimed Samoans are kind, gentle, family loving people. So which is it? :nelson-haha:

He doesn’t sound so bright. “You gotta ask my dad” wtf use your brain dummy.
he doesn't want to say anything because if he tells a different lie than his dad people are going to ask more questions. how weak is that for the kid to not even have a reason.
