I was reading over this again and it's amazing how this could have happened. With so many people knowing of what was happening and no one saying anything just to protect a couple of adults and football wins. The best part is how the NCAA proceeds to withdraw sanctions against a school that left a child rapist run rampant for so many years. That football program should have been torched to the ground for what they allowed.

I love my Hurricanes but if I found out anything like that was going on by anyone in the program the right people would know, just can't believe the things that go through people's minds.

Saw this last week too. How convenient.

And the QB McQuery...who saw a Child being Sodomized in a shower....and did absolutely NOTHING as he walked by, deserves the Greatest *** Whipping known to Mankind...How in tf do you walk by a scene like that, and do nothing to help that child??...Hope that MFer dies in his sleep....
Who in tf could live with themselves after witnessing that, and do absolutely Nothing to stop it??....Absolutely Unforgivable...

Dying in his sleep is too good a way to go. Hard to believe a man would walk by this and keep walking.

I was living in PA and working up by State College when all of this broke. It was disgusting how many excuses the fan base made for JoePa and the entire organization during, and after all of this. On one hand, they all screamed for so long "Nothing happens at PSU without JoePa's knowledge or approval, he is THE man"
Then this broke and they screamed "JoePa is simply a football coach, he has nothing to do with this, not a football or culture problem"
Completely disgusting.

F-face knew about it for over 30yrs...Absolutely NO Excuse...and many other people knew as well....Another sad thing is/was...the Penn St players who had to pay for this yrs later, and had absolutely Nothing to do with these Disgusting crimes...I said it from day 1....This ALL should have been Criminal...

I think this would fall under reasons for switching team allegiance nobody would blame you for. The way a lot of penn state fans tried to play victim was disgusting and pointed out the very thing that led to the guys protection for so long.

what I didn't like the most was "since they were winning" no one said or did nothing. JoePa ran the state of Pennsylvania. He knew and he looked the other way on more than one occasion, because the guy was giving him some of the best defensive teams for decades. Greed makes people do unhuman things.

I live in Central PA, and there is no way in **** Paterno didn't know about this. He ran the place

And don't forget the allegations from McQueary against Monkey Boy. Monkey Boy denies it, but I believe He saw something and didn't say anything. Somebody accuses me of something like that and I know I'm innocent I'm suing your *** for libel...and I'm definitely not gonna just deny it though a press release. And to think Monkey Boy would've been our coach if Richt didn't take the job...SMH.

Miami would be pelted with the Death Penalty from the NCAA

Well, when you look back at it, PSU came out on the other end better than us. They got their penalties before us...they got some of their penalties rescinded before before we even got our final sanctions...they only served 1 more bowl ban than us...they're more than likely operating with 85 scholarships while we're still struggling to reach 85.

I mean, in the end, the NCAA basically said that covering up decades of child molestation is equivalent to some scumbag ponzi schemer taking kids to strip clubs & bowling alleys.
