OT: Stanford at Washington Thread

Always thought Shaw was a **** coach he's too much of a by the books coaxh, no imagination and ability to adapt

So in other words, Shaw is a **** coach because he's won 11 games or finished in the top-10 every year except for one?

Stanford can't throw the ball. They're supposed to get a quality QB where they're at. That dude at Washington is the best passer/game manager I've seen all year.

Washington looks legit.

Lol at you fools now saying Shaw can't coach based off one game.

Every coach has gotten rolled at least several times in their careers. Saban. Meyer. Everyone!

Derp? No doubt his qb sucks and Washington's looks really good but my comment is about Shaw's history as a coach. His record speaks for itself...got it?

I think Harbaugh took the Trees pretty much as high as they can go. Shaw is in a tough spot.
I did like his halftime interview - rejected every excuse.

Glad I picked Washington in the weekly.... Barring the worst collapse in history, they are going to cover.

Who yall got winning tonight?

I think it's in the best interest of Miami for Washington to knock off Stanford as Washington will probably drop another game. They havent played anyone yet though so not sure they can beat Stanford

Crazy stat of the day : Christian McCaffrey has never rushed for a td or caught a td at an away game.. How crazy is that sh*t

Not Too crazy. McCaffery is just overrated.

Washington is for real. Stanford could be having an off night, but no way are the the 7th best team in nation.

Stanford's coach is decent just lives in the 1970's with his boring *** style. Peterson is a Beast and one of the top 5 coaches in the game the last 10 years or so . I like him way more Herman who is just a flavor of the month .

Who cares he's won games in a terrible conference. He's living off what Harbaugh built. THE guy has ZERO creativity. If you get a decent lead on them they are finished. Terrible QB play

Shaw is a very good coach.

He's solid and doesn't have many glaring deficiencies, but I don't consider him elite.

Yeah Harbaugh built Stanford with an OC calling plays with zero creativity. Shaw was his OC, dummy.

Look, his offense is way too conservative for my liking, but it works for them.

Conference record:

Harbaugh 21-15 (0 Rose Bowls)
Shaw 38-9 (3 Rose Bowls)

Shaw is doing his part to keep the momentum that Jim created, unlike our last 3 corches.

When UDub is good, that cot**** stadium of theirs is a viper's nest. I still have never heard a louder venue in my life than when we lost up there in 2000. Those creaky overhangs on both sidelines trap the sound and bounce it back down on the field. Good win for them tonight and signifies a clear shifting of the power base in the Pac-12.

I think Shaw is a great coach. He is pretty uncreative and boring to watch but the same is true of Bo Schembechler.

Creative coaches aren't always good coaches. Honestly I think Donofrio was pretty creative by putting most of the defense 10 yards off the line of scrimmage. I also think James Coley was pretty creative with his halfback pass in the snow.

Washington has one foot in the playoffs in my book. The only game I think they can lose is Utah.
