Could prosecutors prove without a doubt that the woman was lying and purposely made up the story? Because if you want to press charges against her, she gets to go to court too.

He was acquitted of all charges because he was able to prove via text message that not only was it consensual but that he already had previous hookups with the girl who falsely accused him.

He was looking at several years in prison for felony 2nd degree sexual assault, he went to trial in WACO TX, if he was guilty of rape they would've locked his *** up as soon as they could. Again, a 6'9 300lbs Black man in WACO TEXAS lol.

Now now, we are talking Texas. They lock up for hard time regardless of color or creed, or even gender. Besides, himbeing a football player might be migrating circumstances in TX plus the cost of feeding big boy like that could have factored in. They are not big government spenders out there.

Do you think if these women lie they should go to jail??
That's the problem in itself. Majority of these chicks are lying(when it's related to someone who has made it). Theres never any repercussions for them. Thats gotta change

In that state I believe that a false accusation results in prosecution. Don't mess with Texas.
Falsifying a police report has nothing to do with Texas. It's illegal everywhere. But it's like a restraining order. It's a complete joke. The other end of that is publicly accusing someone of this and their lives are basically ruined...

In Texas, unlike Kali or NY, they prosecute false reports...

But like everywhere else its discretionary I'd imagine. I know 2 dudes from Texas been accused of rape and were able to flat out prove it was a lie. Nothing happened in those instances. But maybe that's new there.

I’d have to see the actual evidence about it being a false police report. Dudes get carried away sometimes, and before you know it, some claim made on a message board becomes fact.

If it was a false report, then the judge in the Oakman rape case would immediately refer it to the D. A. for prosecution. Judges don’t mess around with that ****.

I don’t care enough about this to look at trial transcripts and read through any evidence, so I can’t really make any pertinent comment about either party. But two general observations.

First, false accusations and filing false police reports should be prosecuted, imo. Reputations are nearly impossible to recover.

At the same time, having an ongoing consensual sexual relationship does not preclude the possibility of a rape. In other words, you can be guilty of RAPE of your wife or girlfriend if they don’t give consent for an act.

btw - Shawn Oakman wasn't very good. Great that he's out of this mess...but I wouldn't give him a shot in the league. He was barely a league caliber player when he was drafted.

So has R. Kelly's.
So has Michael Jackson's.

I don’t follow R. Kelly or his case so don’t know/care about his alleged issues.

But Michael Jackson? Allegations don’t sound made up. He numerous times extolled the virtues of sleeping in the same bed with young boys. Did it for years and years. That’s just a fact. Which makes it extremely likely he was a pedo.

They need to do background checks on these hoes before trial, it’s easy to sniff out a thot.

Jokes, brother. Jokes.

To me, that's the biggest gray area - just because there wasn't enough to convict doesn't mean the accuser is lying.

If there is evidence - texts, phone calls, etc that shows the accuser made it up and is out for spite or money, absolutely throw the book at them. But if not, it's a very slippery slope bc you are now giving women another reason to not come forward when a crime is committed.
The woman doesn’t decide to prosecute. That’s the state attorney. If the case was brought to trial, it can be assumed that the prosecutor vetted the woman and the evidence.
