You know we are starting to get older..Jesus H Christ....What a yr....Childhood Hero of mine...RIP Tom Seaver...
......going to be quite an in memoriam at the end of the year...RIPJesus H Christ....What a yr....Childhood Hero of mine...RIP Tom Seaver...
My old man went over to the Yankees after they left.My father had Mets season tickets from 68-72...I went to alot of games from 69-72...Dad kinda adopted the Mets after the Dodgers left Brooklyn....Loved Cleon Jones and Tommy Agee...Sh*t like this hurts....
I became a Yankee shortly after my parents marriage was going down the drain in 72...stayed with my Grandparents (Moms) in Manhattan alot...as my folks tried to salvage their marriage...They were HUGE Yankee Fans...20s...30s..40s..50s and so on....but Seaver always was loved in NYC by everyone....My old man went over to the Yankees after they left.
My Sister lived in Flushing in 69...We lived in Nyack the last 5yrs in NY....(Originally from Brooklyn)Great pitcher and great person. He was the only reason to go to queens. I knew his cousin and met him dozens of times.
and Jerry Koosman.Seaver an Nolan Ryan in the same rotation was . . . .solid.
