Yeah, but when passionate players meet terrible coaching, their passion for winning dims greatly. When coaches can't put their players in position to win, those passionate players eventually check out. Sometimes it takes a year or two for them to realize just how poorly they are being lead, but they always figure it out. Perhaps that is one reason we see so many unprepared guys leaving early for the draft. The come in passionate, ready to be part of the class that turns it all around, only to find out the coaching staff can't put them in a position to do so.
