OT: Ole Mi$$ violations worse than previously reported...

Looks like 9 of the football violations involve the current regime and some are Level 1 violations --the most serious:

Report: 13 of 28 Ole Miss NCAA violations involve football | Dr. Saturday - Yahoo Sports

So they covered it up to get those kids to commit, and now the truth comes out. And ESPN was more than happy to run a story about how the infractions weren't so bad and happened a long time ago.

But...but....but.....they have an amazing gameday atmosphere which draws talented recruits!

But..but...buttttttttt Ol' Paul Finebaum said he heard this was all women's hoops related and that he had full faith and confidence in Hugh Freeze's integrity.

I hate Finebaum, and I certainly don't have much respect for the SEC in terms of integrity... but I'm not so quick to place the blame on the coaches. It's hard to control what your boosters do behind closed doors. Look no further than the Miami scandal. Shannon HATED Shapiro... yet Nevin was paying recruits to play at Miami.

I think there are some great coaches and men in the SEC, and I hesitate to judge someone because allegations dropped about pay for play.

Big SEC boosters hide in the shadows from most of these coaches.

Who did Nevin pay to play here? You would think he would have mentioned that in his interviews, yahoo, book and movie pitches.

I wonder if ESPN will scream death penalty like they did for us.
Its possible that ESPN does kinda turn their back on them because even with all the recruiting success, they're still a far cry from a compelling national football story.

Shapiro did not pay anyone to commit to Miami football. He did engage in the HUGE sin of paying for established players' dinners and strippers. Major league stuff there.

The grove is the most overrated tailgate atmosphere I have ever attended. more like a wine and cheese party. You can't even carry a beer around.

This is why kids elite kids pick certain schools, u gotta play the game man. Im glad some cats see it,everyone thinks kids pick school because of weather. No one gives a shht about weather if ya pockets r stacked, its all business and taking care of ya fam$$. I dont blame no kid especially from a rough upbringing.
