OT: NFL and PEDs

No doubt...
Even the guys that juice are great athletes. I dont think anyone is taking away from their natural ability by saying they juice. You still have to be a beast. Every dude i know thats taken some peds were all workout warriors well before they started. To be real, whether its over or under the counter, everyone is taking some type of supplement or enhancement.

**** i wasnt a D1 athlete and i could bounce 225 20 times at 215 lbs and ran a hand timed 4.5 and i never even took creatine so i know a man can be naturally athletic

Freakiest kid I've ever coached... was the fastest player on our team despite being 6'1" 220lbs (4.55 forty)... was a standout wrestler... power cleaned 335lbs... and could dunk a basketball. The kid was poor as **** so I know he wasn't juicing. He ended up signing with Michigan State. Couldn't qualify and went to JUCO where he flunked out. SMH

I imagine if he would've stayed with MSU he would've left college around 6'1" 240lbs with 4.6 speed. Natural.

Yeah sounds like my boy jamal.... he was 6'3 275 and was running a hand timed 4.6. He was so monstrous and all natural man. Took him 3 yrs to learn how to play fullback tho. Lmfao. But trust me when i say... everytime we ran that fb trap... dudes jumped clean out of the way. Glorius film review.

He plays arena football now but there is no doubt in my mind that if he had the ethic and brain he would be in the nfl.

I know everyone doesnt but amongst the trench work i think its a little more common than we think.

Like i said, there are over the counters that are borderline peds, bro. Colleges even give supplements out. Some dudes are on shid they dont even know theyre on. ****, half the docs give out roids to the players for quick rehabilitation. Its serious.

No athlete in the world is built like the american athlete. Were the only country pumping out 265+ dudes running 4. Fortys and 6'8 + guys spinning and dunking like theyre 6'2.

Aint that many gifted freaks... we putting something in the **** milk

Didn't Harrison toil on practice squads for like 4 years before finally breaking thru? And then win the defensive MVP. Pretty sure his arms didn't look like they do now when he was on practice squad

I'm not in the business of defending any athlete from suspicion of PED use at this point but in the case of Deebo there is actually some evidence against the claims you're making. That's a picture of him at Kent State. He was pretty imposing back then and was pretty much the best defensive player in the MAC his senior year. A possible reason he didn't flourish right away is because the Steelers (and briefly the Ravens) didn't know what to do with him. He was a tweener size and height-wise. Perceived as too short for LB and not heavy enough for DL. He was immature mentally early and struggled to grasp schemes too. It really took **** Lebeau's genius to maximize his potential. Not that any of this precludes PED use but it wasn't like he was just an overnight phenom out of the blue. Not to mention that the dude has always been a workout/health conscious freak. He couldn't be pushing 40 and still be in the league otherwise.

Also this. AS long as it helps them get through the day, play better, etc.... it should be a non-issue.

Most NFL players are on roids. ****, D III football players take roids.

you have people that are just regular average joes taking roads. Most people that are into bodybuilding, cross country, track, etc... are on something that helps them gain some form of advantage. For some people that could be weed, beta-blockers, amphetamines, etc..... For others it could be roads, and hgh. Or a combination of both. Doesnt really matter imo. You have people that run billion dollar hedge funds, people that make important ******* decisions regarding national security doing the white stuff, and amphetamines. Not to get high, but just to make it through the day. A professional athlete should be able to do the same things.

Even then it's sometimes a blurry line. Let's say Manning took something when he was hurt. Is it really performance enhancing if the end result just gets you back to the performance level where you previously were prior an injury? Like what if HGH is actually the best treatment course medically for athletes trying to heal and/or recover? We may be too quick to ignore science under the possibly erroneous guise of we're protecting the longterm health of athletes and setting a good example for kids that may mimic or abuse the use of such substances.

Pretty sure that entire USC linebacking group -- Cushing, Maualuga, Rivers and ESPECIALLY Matthews -- were rumored to be juicing while in college. Matthews walked on to USC at about 170 lbs.

Matthews only benches 225 for 23 reps.
Cushing hits it 30 times.

And this was at the combine, which I'm sure they juiced for. (if they were indeed juicing)

You don't need PED's for bench numbers like that.

I'm just wondering...

What's yall's logic behind these accusations? Cause they're bigger, faster and stronger than everybody else in the world?

Like what makes you say "these guys gotta be on something"?

haha your use of the word "only" confirms to me that you are indeed Coach Macho.

Simple, their hands are forced. No one wants to get their butt kicked by someone on Peds.

If i were a professional baller id take some peds solely because the men lining up across from me, were.
When you get your butt kicked no one is going to care or believe that your opponent was juiced up.

You may as well join the party and protect yourself

"Only" is right tho. My roomate in college destroy both on the bench. He threw up 225 33 times at age 19, 6'1 240 lbs. I havent seem him in a few years. Im afraid of what he can lift nowadays.

Dude was as brute strength as they come. He aint in the nfl and was completely natural too.

Macho has prob met or coached a few kids like that.

I'm just sayin...

23 reps isn't a lot for somebody who apparently is a juice monster.

I'm not saying that there aren't a few guys who take stuff, I just don't think it's as prevalent as people think it is.

These guys that are in the NFL are simply gifted genetically. They were bigger, faster and stronger than everybody from 9th grade. They're the kids who were physically ahead of their classmates. They're the kids who played varsity football in 9th and 10th grade.

I've had a few kids like this. I've watched them grow naturally. The measureables that these guys possess are not unfathomable, especially for guys who have great genetics and have been training explosiveness since they were in 9th grade.

Coach Rucht said he juiced for 40 dayz and lost 30 pounds. He looks a lot better ....... are we talking bout da same juice?

The assumed overwhelming prevalence of ped use is a media driven narrative. Just like concussions/cte. We can never have a reasonable middle. It always makes the leap to epidemic level proportions. Then we make assumptions based on physiques alone. How many photos of teenagers have we seen though where people are in awe of how big and chiseled a high school senior or college freshman is? Are a ton of those kids already on expensive ped regimens? Is it widespread at the NFL level? Probably. Is it anywhere near as widespread as the media or fans assume? Probably not.

Here's an idea allow PEDs and regulate it so no one goes overboard. Admit its ok, put in structures for its use and punishments for abuse and stop pretending no one uses it. PEDs are a reality just accept it cause the fans have

Gifted or not, a natural athlete is not going to our perform an athlete that's using some kind of peds. Now I'm not talking pulling Joe schmo off the street and saying he will be a better athlete. I'm talking an NFL players peer or an Olympic athletes peer. These are athletic freaks before taking anything.

Ex: All things being equal usain bolt is the fastest man in the world. Once his peers take peds it breaks that equilibrium. Bolt would have to take something to win. Doesn't make it wrong just the reality
