OT my family is now homeless

Has OP’s family relocated yet? It’s bad enough to go through this stuff, but for elderly people there must be more of a nightmare because they don’t get around as easily
 
They are stuck. Roads are closed no phone service. I'm trying to get them to me asap.

****. How close to Mexico Beach did they live? Having been through similar situation although my house was nowhere near flattened, basic stuff like water and food get to be real issues, I just pray they’re doing OK right now. Kind of feel guilty now for thinking we had it bad after having lost power for a couple of weeks, at least I still had a house. Can’t even imagine what this must be like.
 
Dont feel guilty bro. Everyone suffered and is suffering. I feel guilty for not being able to physically be there. It's frantic not hearing from anyone when all you wanna do is tell them how to get out. They were about 60 miles from Mexico Beach in bay county.

UPDATE

just heard from my mom for the first time in 2 days. They need a generator and fuel. They are opening pc back up to get in and out of tomorrow so it looks like I can get her out of there safely. My dad is staying behind to clean up and help in the community. Please don't stop donating and sharing. They have NOTHING Left.

Most of the donations have come from this canes family.

It's more than being a fan of a sports team. Love you all.

I don’t know how old your dad is, but people overexerting in the heat can be a real problem, especially for older men. Prayers and donation sent.

People still trapped inside their houses. I grew up there and it's a small town so I know alot of people and more need help than don't. It's unexplainably bad.
 
I can't get ahold of anyone to help some family friends get out of their home. They are out of fuel for the chainsaw and still too much brush. Trapped. If anybody has anything on who to call please post, but I think I covered every base. Such a helpless feeling not being there.
