OT: Meanwhile in Texas

For the last 2 weeks in DC, it has been cold enough to snow and every time rain has come (pretty much every other day) the temp has gotten just above freezing so we end up with cold rain. How Austin ends up with a bigger snow storm than we have had in almost 3 years is beyond me.

Not disputing but always find it interesting how we are able to accurately measure ocean temperatures in the mid 1800’s
Thermometers were invented in the 1500s

Welcome to my life boys!
Check out Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.

I always wondered if I was the northernmost , geographically, on this forum. Unless there's an Edmonton guy on here!

Jet stream takes a detour in a U shape down to Texas, arctic air comes down. I'm glad the right upside of that is west of PA, its a toasty 32 here.
