OT: Meanwhile in Texas

Zero degrees here outside Fort Worth in Aledo, TX is fine. Without power or heat for 36 hours is BS. And to think I was ina pool at the hard rock in Orlando a week ago. Some ting wong.

Here in Dallas. We've been without power I'd say at least 40-45 hours out of a possible 60. And I'm willing to bet it's probably higher. What's crazy is some haven't lost power at all. 🤔

Not disputing but always find it interesting how we are able to accurately measure ocean temperatures in the mid 1800’s
Recording weather history started a little over 200 years ago. At the time of the American Revolution we were experiencing the end of the mini ice age.

My assumption is on how difficult it must have been to accurately measure ocean temperatures, in specific locations, without the assistance of strategically placed bouys equipped with computational systems that include coordinates, etc.

The variability across centuries due to technological limitations / advances is what makes me skeptical to the complete accuracy of the data.

I still remember the days of Al Gore telling us all how much we would be boiling at this point in history if we didn’t donate millions to him and his “research”.

I moved from Wisconsin to San Antonio to get away from the blizzard and snow... it barely hits 20 degrees down here and the power goes out for a couple days smh my buddies up north laughing at me in -40 degree weather 🤣🤣🤣

Delete this thread please!!! I have a meeting next week in Tallahassee where I'm pitching a plan for Florida to start its own power grid. It'll be green friendly too but we'll be using wind turbines that are extremely sensitive to salt water.

Welcome to my life boys!
Check out Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.

I always wondered if I was the northernmost , geographically, on this forum. Unless there's an Edmonton guy on here!
Hi, I'm your Edmonton guy.

It has been brutally cold here recently.

Today it's -12 Celsius, and I swear it actually feels warm.

-31 or so last week. -38 with wind chill. These Texas people have no idea. Hahahahah
