OT: Matt Rhule to Nebraska

Not really. They were solid in 2019. (420 yards and 33 points) But I wouldn’t say they were one of the best offenses in America. Plus the big 12 isn’t exactly known as a defensive league.
 
I can give credit to him for seemingly passing up a lot of money to coach again.
 
Excellent coach. The Panthers money just offsets in part Nebraska money. I assume you meant he could have gone to the beach and done nothing and still collected the $34M. He’s a young guy, but at 47 if you sit out too long you could be killing your career. Hope he does well there.

This is as good as Nebraska can get nowadays and he did a great job in college. Plus he has recent NFL hc experience to sell.

I doubt he can get them to Osborne levels, but maybe he can get them to 9/10 win seasons. And just because Baylor is in Texas doesn’t mean Nebraska can’t get some guys out of there, too. They focused on the Midwest but did get elite guys from Florida/Texas/California in their heyday.

Interesting hire. If he can’t turn them around, probably almost no one can.

Baylor doesn't have anywhere near the historical prestige and championship pedigree that Nebraska does. It's not like Baylor has a history of landing blue chip talent, whereas Nebraska does. Plus with B10 money coming in, they will actually do pretty well. This is an A hire for them.
 
Frost sucked, Riley sucked, it's an optimistic hire, but is he just going to get crushed there too?

Very good coach and if they gave him huge money they are morons - let Tepper pay his entire buyout and give allllllll that extra money to elite position coaches, an unreal development team, and NIL for portal kids
