OT: Manny Machado Possibly To Miami?!

Methinks Manny still has some wheeling and dealing to do in the portal.

Machado might be able to get the Mets within shouting distance of .500.
I like the moves the Mets have made. IF the Pitching staff can stay healthy it can be way better than .500.
But I have been saying that for the last couple seasons now.

Pipe dream, Marlins just done have the money

Marlins are doing everything to get rid of salary. Wei-Yin Chen, Starlin Castro dont seem like moves that would favor the marlins with prospects so there hoping to get production and turn that into prospects. JT Realmuto is a solid trade chip but I doubt the Marlins get what there seeking. Honestly sign Machado to a one year contract and trade him before the Deadline for prospects.... but I'm sure there far too cheap for that

JT is the best catcher in baseball but nobody knows it because he plays here. Their own name is hurting his value lol. I would agree that asking people for somebody like Ozzie Albies and more is too much though.

White Sox will be very good soon, IMO. Machado would be coming into a good situation.

Yeah, I'm not really familiar with their young guys or farm system. My comment was a little tongue-in-cheek and obviously I was just looking af their 100 losses last year. I just found the initial news of them being players for him to be strange because I thought they were getting a reputation of being cheap recently too.

The White Sox are indeed historically cheap. But our owner has been keeping his eye on 2019 for awhile. The White Sox may lose out on Machado and Harper, but not for a lack of money.
