OT: Looks like Larry Fedora is starting to come unhinged

Did you really try to argue Basketball, Soccer and race car is as dangerous as Football? Sure, concussions occur in every sport but nothing comes close to the amount of beating football players take, particularly in the head. Get ******* real.
No I’m not saying that, but a lot of the people like to associate it with only football when in reality it could come from any sport. Of course football is more dangerous

I don’t have the numbers in front of me but if we were to compare the amount of head injuries Football causes compared to every other sport together, I’m pretty sure it would Football would still lead. Such a silly argument.

USAToday really takes off on what Fedora said yesterday saying UNC should fire him if he doesn't understand the correlation between CTE & football...

There are two kinds of football fans: The rational ones that understand that in order to save the game we love, some of the crap has to be cut out. The other kind are the dumbasses that think that a guy running full speed down field, to run into another guy isn't going to lead to someone getting hurt. I could do without kickoffs, if that means that players stand a better chance of living healthier lives.

Adapt or die.

Larry Fedora is such a tough guy he let Mark Richt repeatedly finger jab him on the 50 yard line of his home field, and the best response he could muster was to **** himself and turn tail.

Enjoy the last remaining years of football as you knew it because between the rules changes and the SEC professionals (include Clemson in that group) getting paid it will destroy the game of college football into the rest of college football and the SEC which will morph into a minor league for the NFL when paying players is acceptable. If Sony Michel can command 6 figures coming out of high school then there will be the haves and have nots going forward, and the game we grew up loving will be destroyed.

The rest of college football will become like college baseball used to be, an alternative pathway that rarely leads to the pro ranks, with a few making it but far too many not because the level of competition will be so much different.

Football presents a greater risk for repetitive head trauma than the other major American sports. Taking this into account along with its popularity with American youth, more steps should be taken to prevent these injuries right? Fedora is a clown for his statements and UNC should be embarrassed.

The problem isn't necessarily *some of Fedora's points here......the problem is that Fedora is voicing them and he's a moron. It also doesn't help that the AD rushing to his defense is named Bubba.

If “Bubba” is rushing to help you out, you better be in a bar fight.

Otherwise, you’re gonna lose.

Does anyone remember that during the Duke game they pointed out that the Blue Devils were unknowingly testing some new impact sensors that the Duke science department had been working on that's supposed to one day allow real time tracking monitoring of collision force and head trauma? The goal is to one day be able for a team doc, or more likely an independent specialist, to assess severe hits and preemptively remove a player from the game for further evals.

I wonder how they're coming along with that.

I’m not sure impact intensity is a great barometer for concussion, but if it could detect balance issues after a hit that would probably be help.

I get where Fedora is coming from, but he misses the overall trend. What's going to take our country down is this passive social justice & equality for all nonsense that is on the verge of Marxism. Sadly, you even see in football now with these guys taking knees/blaming CTE and losers like Anderson Cooper at CNN rationalizing that type of behavior.
