OT-Lincoln Riley

Riley is a fantastic offensive mind. But the two QBs he’s had have made it a lot easier for him to implement and execute all facets of his concepts. And that offensive line may be the best in college football.

Jeff Bezos ain't hurting for change, either, and it never stopped him from trying to get more.

Coaches are greedy. They like to get paid not bc they need it, but bc their ego demands it. The John Maddens are rare for a reason.

Stoops will be on a sideline again within 2 years.
Maybe he'll take the Miami job when it comes open in the next few years

Spencer Rattler is going to be just as good as Baker and Kyler.

I hope your right, but I can see UGA being a dynasty. They are the number 2 bag droppers right now behind Bama and they are the type of school willing to start hiring tons of analysts and ****. They were able to average 10 wins with Richt imagine what they could do with someone competent at the helm.

Very good point!

What exactly would be the incentive for kids to go to UM when rhey can go play at legit contenders. Kids absolutely love coaches like Smart. Young energetic dude who wants to be the very best and will do what it takes to get his program there.

Please explain how UM under Richt approaches that level of enthusiasm that places like UGA currently offer?

It isn't all about "bags dropped". That's a losers excuse for why kids aren't coming here.

If these loser fans have proof that Georgia is "dropping bags", I'm sure the NCAA would love to have a word with them

being very successful as a college coach does not automatically translate to that same success in the pros, especially for a college coach with Zero pro experience. we have seen examples of this (Spurrier e.g)
Never said anything about success at the next level. I said that’s what I think is going to happen.

exactly. thats like breaking up with Kate Upton to go shack up with Rosie O'Donnell.

Lots of folks with the antiquated assumption that the NFL HC position is superior to head coaching at one of the elite college football
programs.
It no longer is, if it ever was.

Riley may have learned from Leach but he took the concepts from the Air Raid and has tweaked them - made them even better. He has added a dimension with that run game in OU that makes it impossible to stop. Not only that, he incorporates the TE as well.

Riley and Bedenbaugh designed the offense together.

Bedenbaugh wants to be a HC one day. He has said he knows he needs to call plays as an OC first as that is the "natural progression" to HC. Actively looking for a OC gig with stability, and it doesn't get any more stable than Miami since Blake James will keep giving Rick contract extensions even after Rick is 6 feet under.

Weird. He played the whole game. Maybe a coach like Smart understands adjustments. I'm guessing you rooted hard for OU so that Richt didn't look as much like a loser as he is.

You are correct in your thinking. I always root against UGA so we don't look as stupid for hiring their garbage. That said it was painfully obvious that he was injured in the second half.

Smart didn’t understand Saban’s adjustments....

I think there is only 1 NFL coach that gets paid more than all of the CFB coaches and it is not much more. Then the next few highest paid football coaches are CFB guys.

Not only that, but guys like Saban are going to have buildings named after them on campus. They will probably rename a street Nick Saban Drive. They will have statues erected of them. etc. Belichick is going to get a little plaque in the Patriots stadium when it is all said and done.

All of that plus in college you can build your own team without having to contend with the dopey draft.
The NFL is so socialistic with the draft rewarding the perennially trashy teams whereas in college if you're king, you
get most of the elite talent.
