Yall realize if Griffey didn't tear the hamstring off the bone mans would've been the home run king, and CLEAN. Judging by a lot of answers, there arent too many baseball fans here. Oh and Mike Vick was my favorite athlete growing up, but real recognize real.

Barry Sanders would top this list though. In only 10 years time too. Sad to see his career end with out a super bowl or even conference championship..

Moss had ****** QBs until he signed with NE. Dude showcased his talents with a real QB.

Griffey (time with Cincy diminishes a great Seattle career...spent the prime of his career - 30s - making three all-star games with diminishing productivity)

Vick

Seriously, three are legit, Hall of Fame greats...one is not. Its not even particularly close. Michael Vick is the most overrated player of my lifetime...all sports. He really wasn't that good of a professional.

Even before Bonds used PED's he was better than Griffey, Bonds in Pittsburgh was a HOF'er already.

He had 4 MVP's, 8 Gold Gloves, 6 Silver Sluggers & 9 All-star appearances before he even played for San Francisco.

Do an advanced analytics comparison of Griffey vs Bonds of just Pittsburgh Bonds & he has Griff beat in every category, from OPS, Slugging, BA, RBI's & everything.

Griffey was a pheneomenal talent he was truly a special player no doubt about it, but a lot of his issues in his career came from the fact he wasn't really a crazy hard worker. He was so naturally gifted that he barely ever worked out.

I apologize. I didn’t fully read the OP’s question about best career

I dont recall saying anything about Barry Bonds. I said Griffey would be the HR king and CLEAN. That simply means Griffey would have hit more homeruns than the current record. I didnt say Griffey was better than Bonds. I didnt discount anything Bonds did in Pitt. I didnt even say Griffey was the GOAT. Proving Bonds is better than Griffey is cool- BUT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS DEBATE. By your logic MJ was better than Iverson. Throw him off the list now.

Dont chastise me like I have no idea about the differences between Bonds and Griffey. Im a fan of the game.

I agree, Vick always had a horrible QB every team he went to. Well, he had a really shifty running back playing QB who had no accuracy though I guess could chuck it a mile.

Culpeppers by far best year, and an MVP type season, was when Moss was injured and I believe Carter was gone. He was able to spread the ball around and was really coming into his own. Sadly he got injured after and never recovered. People vastly underrate him simply because he had 2 really good receivers for most of his career. They don't even bother to figure out when his best year was.

AI, well, maybe if you practiced you would have won.

Took me a while to realize why people were actually making a great suggestion of Marino on this list rather than Vick. I am certainly no Dolphin fan, but I think that substitution is a slam dunk. This list looks like it was made by someone who was born in the early 90s and just hero worshiped 3 of the entries.
