The Heat historically are the better franchise, in terms of the modern era of the NBA.

But currently right now 2025 & beyond, the Knicks have a far brighter future than the Heat & will likely make it to a Finals before the Heat do so again.

New York is the more attractive destination right now if you're a Free Agent or a top 20 caliber player looking to go somewhere to compete for a title.

Pat Riley's "Heat Culture" philosophy has hit its expiration date & has turned sour in the eyes of NBA Superstars.

Until Riley/Spoelstra decide to evolve the way in which they handle Superstars & build teams, the Heat are going to continue to be a fringe play-in team that will be fighting for a low seed playoff spot at best in the rising East.

They have some trade assets that they can move, but not enough to be able to land a Cornerstone Franchise player.

They're either going to have build it through the draft, or ease up on the hard-*** militaristic style "Heat Culture" ethos, because otherwise, there are no more Finals runs in the near future for them.

if the knicks dont do nothing in 26 they are dead in the water.

they have no real draft picks....and Bridges hits free agency or signs the extension. His agent will tell him hit free agency

Not sure if they truly have a brighter future. This is as sorry as the Heat will look and they still made the playoffs i dont know how.

Certain young stars might not want to come but they can still land a giannis or kd as possibles. hypothetically.

The Heat draft much better than the whole league and have better development system so the future is always bright. Im not saying a team that hasnt made it to the finals since I was getting dropped off an picked up in middle school has a better chance in making the finals.

Giannis ain't going to Miami & even hypothetically speaking if Miami did land Giannis, they would have to trade half their roster to get him.

If Miami were to trade for KD, it would GUARANTEE that they're not making another Finals run anytime soon. Since KD left GSW, he hasn't made it out of the first round of the playoffs, let alone a conference finals.

He would absolutely hate "Heat Culture", because he's the most passive & mentally fragile Superstar in NBA history.

He's on the tail end of his career & he does not give a fuxk about winning Championships, or winning in general.

Yall can bring in KD if you want to, it'll be a complete disaster.

The Heat do not draft better than the whole league, that's 100% false, as evidenced by the current NBA finals. OKC, Indiana, Cleveland, Orlando, Boston & Detroit have drafted better than the Heat have over the last 4+ years.

The Heat finished the season 8 games below .500, they made the playoffs as a play-in team & were swept by Cleveland.

The bright future that the Heat have is purely speculative & based on what if scenarios.

The Knicks are a piece or two away from making the Finals.

The banner argument and not hanging ECF champ banners might be the dumbest argument ever @Peter Ariz. Or the Dan Marino banner. I’m pretty sure MSG has a **** Harry Stylez banner to go with Billy Joel and Phish. Also, multiple division winner banners. So the Knicks are too cool to celebrate a ECF win, but celebrate multiple division championships? Or maybe it’s that they never win the ECF? You also backpedaled really fast saying Knicks fans actually will celebrate making it to the ECF, because they’re a passionate/hungry fanbase.

You’re clearly thinking with emotions because the Knicks have been a dumpster fire for 20 years while the Heat have been a top 3 franchise.

I’m going to say it, and I don’t care what anyone thinks about it, Pete is a ******* idiot! Flat out! His argument that our D line isn’t bigger and stronger and faster this year versus last year was the last draw for me. It’s clear as day Our D line this year is far more talented than last year and this idiot Petes bringing up soccer quotes. Lol the dude just digs his heels in because he doesn’t want to be wrong even when it’s clear as day he’s wrong. And he’s definitely wrong about the heat versus the Knicks, the heat of won championships in the modern day of basketball and the Knicks haven’t.

He was puffing his chest about nonsense. First about Knicks not putting up banners for anything less than a championship - they have DIVISION championship banners up (which they only have 1 of in the last 30 years lol). Then about "everyone always talking about the Knicks, not the Heat" Cool - go be a Cowboys/Jets/Duke MBB/Yankees/Notre Dame fan. Then kept saying Heat are 50/50 to make the playoffs since Lebron...it's 75%

Pete’s take was so ridiculous it didn’t even make sense…what I heard of it. Of course I will say I fast forwarded most of it because he was ****ing me off so much. I wanted to get back to talking about the Hurricanes, but he wouldn’t shut up about the Knicks and let it go. He is just another reason why I root against all things New York. The only reason they get talked about is because they’re in the biggest city in America and have by far the largest media. I get more satisfaction watching all of those “Stars” in the first row crying after each loss. It’s a beautiful sight!
I used to really like Pete and I put up with his crazy soccer talk, but bashing the Heat the way he did. Cutting off D-Money over and over again was so unprofessional on a Miami site. Move to New York and follow Rutgers.

My Heat have drafted in he top 10 in the last 20 years....one time (Michael Beasley) Picked Justice Winslow at 10 one year too.. Please dont compare us to sh*t franchises like Detroit, Orlando, and even cleveland.

You do realize the heat were in the finals in 2023 right?.

The Heat record was that because the star player on the team played under 30 games. and tanked the szn. Adding injuries throughout the year. It wasnt the best roster but the team likely was above what they showed if they didnt deal with the Butler fiasco.

The kniocks are a piece or two away without anyways of getting the piece or two. They are up against the 2nd apron...have no 1st round picks this year..one maybe next year. They have that core players locked up on big contracts which showed they were good this year. But like i said Bridges is coming up maybe he stays because he is a northeast guy and they are loaded withj nova guys but i dont see much pieces coming there...they will have the pj tucker types to fill out that roster moving forward.
