OT: John Skipper Resigns

Does anyone know what exactly he was abusing? I’m also wondering if this is a cover up for a scandal with more to come.

ESPN is failing and falling hard, there will probably be lots of management changes in the near future.

They literally just gave Skipper a new contract a month ago, they weren't expecting this move at all.

There's nothing they can do to stop cord cutters however they did just acquire a bunch of regional networks from the FOX deal.

ESPN flies solo in the industry, they'll never be in too much trouble.

ESPN President John Skipper: How I Work

"A Night Owl," who mentions "scraping himself off the bed" TWICE! Like another media omnipotent, Matt Lauer, the signs were there, but as Andersen's The Emperor's New Clothes, teaches us, no adult fearing for their livelihood or even status, says a word to our modern day "emperors."

company has gone downhill since he took over creating a left wing political statement agenda tuning lots of viewers off. might be the best thing for the company's sake but obviously wish it wasn't under these circumstances and wish him the best in his recovery.

ESPN's ratings decline is right in line with the percentage of cord cutters. ****y rednecks who don't like black people hosting Sportscenter aren't hurting ESPN's bottom line, it's the huge NFL contract and the percentage of cable fees they were getting.

The incessant Tebow coverage and "embrace debate" did more harm to ESPN than anything kneeling NFL players ever did.

The constant SEC nut hugging can’t have helped either.

About 80% of the country gives zero fūcks about the SEC.

That Paine tweet is some cowardly ****. "We've got dirt, but we won't post it. But trust us, it's real dirty. But we can't talk about it. So, you can't, you know, verify it in any way."
