OT: Jarvis Landry to the Browns

The Browns best pick up is not a player, but it is the new GM Dorsey. He is not playing, a bully in negotiations as we can see so far.

#1 in receptions
#7 in 1st downs.
#4 in TD
#4 in YAC by a WR

Half the time he catches the ball. It has meant a 1st down. Which means he kept the chains moving.

Landry is worth more than a 4th and 7th RD pick. Berrios has done nothing up to this point. That would say he can do what Landry has in the NFL.

He could have been worth a compensatory 3rd round pick after 2019. So establish that as his max value. But that 3rd is conditional on his performance with his next team. If he flopped (say bad qb situation) Miami doesn't get a 3rd. So Miami guaranteed itself a 4th and 7th in the 2018 draft. It's basically a wash. No one was going to give up more than a 4th for a malcontent possession wr who is demanding a top 5 WR salary at the end of his contract next year. Landry was productive- no doubt about that- but he isn't some once in a generation talent. You can find possession wrs all over the draft.

I can't see why Ross hired Tanenbaum to begin with and why we've ridden with Tannehill this long. Nothing about the history of this owner says he knows what's going on or has the eye for FO talent. He should throw the kitchen sink at Harbaugh and let him pick his GM.
Tannehill got his college head coach fired, then got the same dump *** fired as OC from the fins. Got one or two dolphin HCs fired. Why would anyone want him as QB?

With the addition of Taylor, I’m sure the Browns will take Barkley #1 to compliment Duke in the backfield. I wonder if they keep the #4 and take whoever is left at QB or possibly trade down. At least the Browns are finally trying.

Barkley doesn't compliment Duke at all. If anything they fill the same role immediately. Barkley provides more as a runner, but his calling card is his ability as a receiver immediately.

The question is if the Browns take Barkley, how will they utilize both RBs?

The Dolphins are an atrociously GMed team.

Cut Suh - $22.2M dead cap and a $3.9M savings...Or....only $17,6M dead cap and $8.5M savings if designated post june1st cut.
Tag and Trade Landry. So stupid. Only get a 4th and 5th. Could have probably gotten a 3rd comp pick just from letting him walk. - saved about $16M. I don't even think Landry is woth much more than $10m/yr, but they handled this bad imo
Trade for Robert Quinn. This was just stupid. Give a draft pick for a guy that isn't that good and makes $10m/yr
Sign Albert Wilson for $8m/yr. wow. terrible.

So in total, thats a savings of between $20M-$24.6M depending on Suh....but spending $18M/yr. So basically net savings of about $2M-$6.6M...And MUCH WORSE players. thats terrible.

plus you can go ahead and add in the Ajayi trade in this too, cause that was retarded. Wonder what stupid moves they'll make next.

I see people here overvalue Dolphins players almost as much as they do Hurricanes. You know why the Dolphins didn't get much for Landry? No team was willing to trade anything for a dude who averages 9 yards per catch but wants to get paid like he averages 19 yards per catch. Overpaying players is what got the Lolphins into the cap position they're in now. They need to accumulate as many draft picks as possible and get some players on the cheap instead of breaking the bank on free agents every year. Of course, that would require them actually drafting good players, something they'
re not very good at either.

What? Quinn has 62 sacks at the age of 27 but he sucks and we replaced Landry with a guy who averages 13 ypc to landry’s 9 ypc? You release Suh and you free 17 million with 8.5 in dead money...not 17.6 dead and 8.5 saved.

Agreed. Can't keep patching holes in a bad team. Blow it up and start over. Trade / cut the whole lot of under achievers, get draft picks, and draft a new franchise qb. Tannehill is simply not a franchise caliber qb. It's been good moves by Tannenbaum, but I know he is going to ***** it up because he is a terrible talent evaluator. Just getting rid of the pro-murder UF embarrassment Pouncey will buy Tannenbaum a lot of good will with me.

Landry was very productive but not $16m worth.

Suh was a middle eater - double teamed almost every play but he **** sure wasn't worth $26m a year. That was a sh*tty deal from the get go.

Dolphins sign Albert Wilson and Danny Amendola.

Um, WTF? Do we have ZERO faith in Parker, Grant, or Carroo? Someone must be getting traded. We can't keep 6 WRs (including Stills).

No kidding? Haven't seen that yet. Parker is a bust - imagine that. Grant and Caroo haven't gotten many chances due to Landry getting so many touches and desperately trying to get something out of Parker.

I wouldn’t necessarily call Parker a bust...I don’t like calling people busts if they can’t stay on the field long enough to prove himself. He’s been just above average when he has been on the field.

Had high expectations for him as a 1st rounder. That's been Parker's issue - can't stay on the field due to injury. He's shown flashes and then disappears.

Just kept James at 9.3 million...anybody know a nice roof to throw Mike “Rusty *****” Tanenbaum off of? Seriously? He’s not even one of the better Right tackles in football but you gave him top tier money.
