OT: Ivins Kicked out

Jesus christ. Maybe I just dont understand this whole you ****ed my girl so i sodomized your sister thing everyone seems to focus on. So I'd love clarification. Chain of events. #1 Andrew gets escorted out of an open scrimmage by the police (5 of them)at the request of the ad or whoever else on the staff of mnw. Clearly that's extreme & they wanted to remind him of his place in the pecking order. At the least very petty on their part. Now as a rebuttal Andrew gets into a children's arguement and says that because of what happened hes gonna give **** write ups to CHILDREN who ATTEND mnw... does that cover the bases in a quick synopsis minus the whole racial component the other piece of **** threw in? Does right? So what you're saying is Andrew is perfectly in the right to affect the future of these CHILDREN no matter how minuscule it actually may, because the STAFF of mnw ****ed him first? Whoooo. The atrocities that have been done to mankind that you apparently find irrelevant by that theory is pretty **** sad. But an agenda is the guns you choose to stick with right... unless this is his way of trying to force kids to transfer out of mnw than I cant see how that works. Because these children hes affecting have nothing to do with what has been done to him. Ever heard the saying two wrongs dont make a right...

I had a long write up in response to this...but its unnecessary.

Straight up...if MNW did that to a University staffer that came by to watch kids, evaluate them, and talk to them on a coaches invite...that University likely never shows up to MNW again until there is a staff change and that is ultimately only hurting the kids.

Just because this now includes Andrew Ivins who is a rep from a third party, people want to lay blame across the board. No thanks. Andrew Ivins isn't there for the coaches or the AD or even the school. He's there for the kids and the service his company provides is that for the kids (and those that consume the content in this niche). MNW doing anything that impedes their student athletes from getting the free (to them) publicity and evaluation, puts them in the wrong.

How is he supposed to give any review if he cant watch them. His wording is 100% wrong but the point is valid.
I think that was the first statement he made essentially and that’s not the issue for us. The next statement where he says when he’s “asked about MNW players what do you think my response will be?”, is distinct from the first point and appears to be a threat of retribution against the kids who have nothing to do with what I see are his valid complaints.

Yes. He’s a writer and owns the implications of what he wrote. There is a more and a less benign way to interpret what he wrote ... but that’s his fault. Costs him credibility as a result.

1. If a University staffer came by to do any of that, they wouldn't be on the sideline recording them.
2. There were multiple media outlets there. The Rivals reporter that was there got removed for the same thing (not having the correct credentials). Larry Bluestein didn't get removed because the AD doesn't have a vendetta against him, so L.B. had the correct credentials.

The coaches invited him out to the scrimmage.

The bold is the problem.

Ivins recording is not.

This is really clear cut. Dre is an old stubborn ******* who has an issue with Ivins and went above and beyond unprofessionalism to sandbag a local writer he has an issue with and then used the opportunity to try and embarrass him in public.

Just talked to someone close to the situation. Ivins has retained a lawyer and is planning to sue both MNW and the Miami-Dade County Public School system for harassment, libel and gross negligence.

So He threatened to write negative, phake nooz stories about kids because He didn't get access, and He's suing for libel???...say whu???

Here is Ivins statement, right from the source today- there is clearly a lot of speculation on everyone's part that simply isn't true:

I have done everything in my power to give the kids at MNW exposure. I paid to attend a game last season and ended up sitting in the stands shooting photos from the 15th row. I drove up to Orlando on my own dime to watch them play in the state finals. I pushed for Terrence Lewis to get a high ranking. I pushed to get Romello Brinson and Kahlil Brantley graded as soon as possible because schools were using that to negatively recruit against the Hurricanes. I have also recommended Marcus Fleming to the Adidas All-American Game multiple times.
I however am simply done with the administration over there. I have nothing against the kids and coaches there. I was invited to cover the scrimmage. I was told I would be given field access. I did nothing wrong. I will cover them as best I can from a distance, but I'm not going to try to attend anymore MNW events and be talked down to by the school's athletics director and principal before having police escort me off property.
You can say I have bad character all you want, but at the end of the day I was almost arrested for simply trying to do my job.

Like many of you, I follow a few different sites. I have personally always found his reporting to be fair, conservative and without any kind of personal agenda. Many don't like the fact he doesn't project or speculate but I like that he is conservative. If he says he was invited with sideline access, that's what he expected. I am sure there are those who won't agree.

There seems to be some sort of disconnect at MNW between the coaches, AD and administration. If not that, then it seems to me there is some agenda, as a few of you said, to embarrass and harass him for some reason.

Let me break it down for you.
The AD and/or the school officials as a whole outside of the football coaches is wrong. Nobody is arguing this.
Ivins went to twitter like a child, which we can forgive because he had the right to be outraged.
However, what he said on twitter, is what we are discussing here. That's it.
We believe everything Ivins said, which is why we all have proof (even outside of what El said) that the A.D. is a jackass. But we also won't ignore the negative statement he made in that same line of tweets.

My sources just confirmed that MNW is counter-suing Ivins for Title VII racially discriminatory biased reviews of its student-athletes as well as trespassing.

Manny is the new sheriff in town. He needs to fix this.

how can he write a glowing review if an all star person asks if he isn't at any games to watch the kids? that's the basis of his statement.

I already explained this on page 9, yall still in here arguing the same points over & over lol.

It was NOT Coach Max's decision to have Ivins removed he had nothing to do with it and Da Warden is NOT a member of the MNW Coaching staff, he's just an alum that decided to interject his own dumb opinion on the subject. If it doesn't come directly from Coach Max, Coach Juste or Coach Verne then that's not the opinion of the staff.

The AD Andre Williams & Principal Aristide have an issue with Ivins, it started last year with Andre & Principal Aristide of course just took his side rather than reprimand his own guy. What the issue is exactly is something really stupid.

There was other media there for the Blue & Gold game, Ivins got removed & Rob Cassidy from Rivals left with him because he tried to speak up on behalf of Ivins, so they apparently said fine both of yall can leave. But there were other media people there that stayed and didn't have any issues & yes at least 2 of them were White (It really sucks I even had to mention that smh lol).

At the end of the day, the situation is unfortunate & didn't have to go the way it did, but it's over with now & both sides have moved on. This won't affect the players like many of you think. MNW is the school in Dade that has the most players in the NFL, teams aren't stupid & send coaches from every D1 program to watch them practice & watch their games during the season, teams will still offer players from MNW, even the under the radar kids.

I can see that being inferred, but he doesn't actually say that. It can also be inferred that he cannot give a positive review of kids he doesn't see.

Why do you constantly say that? EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON HERE HAS SAID MNW WAS WRONG... that doesnt make what he said (PERIOD)acceptable. I dont wanna hear the nonsense of what he meant to say. Reality is what he did say. Deleting it immediately after doesnt excuse ****. He was dead wrong to involve those kids in his problem with the school. The school was dead wrong for how they handled the situation as well. For whatever reason you've decided to champion this cause
Not my business. But stop each statement parroting out the whole agenda notion. At that point you've adopted an agenda as well. Honestly I give two ***** about mnw or ivins. But as his job description entails reviewing athletes professionally and painting a picture for readers he needs to be held to a higher standard.
