OT: Ivins Kicked out

LOL @ that coach and Ivins thinking they are way more important than they are.

Da warden dude is a cane fan and likely on this board....but these dudes if u follow them have wayyyy to big ego's and thoughts about themselves. This social media sh*t is a drug to these clowns.

Grown *** man calling dude a "goofy". Bih you aint from chicago sit your *** down somewhere.

Ivins was all the way in the wrong with the post about not giving a glowing review.

MNW was in the wrong for escorting a dude out of an open scrimmage..like wtf kind of power struggle they got going on. They seem to just have a personal issue with IVINS.

It’s taking a shot at the administration..MNW is run by black folk. St.Thomas white folk..all I though don’t agree with what Twitter buddy was saying and his conclusion I get his point. He is saying show the same respect to MNW open scrimmage as you would STA. He’s under the perception that even though Ivins emailed the admin and didn’t get a response or whatever, Ivins didn’t exhaust all avenues to get clearance to film. And just showed up thinking he’d get by on face value or rep or “we’ll it’s MNW a Dade private school”..and Ivins would not do that at a school like st. Thomas. Which is true..all in all the only ones who can possibly get hurt outta of this are the lesser kids. I don’t think Ivins did anything particularly wrong, but at the same time did he exhaust all avenues..maybe not. Who knows..More blame should be on MNW admin..I’m for sure not plugged in enough to know if MNW was giving him the run around on some personal **** or it’s just incompetence at the top..

But here’s my question when he goes to the stands like everyone else how do 5 police officers escote him out!

I agree with pretty much all of this.

Without social media, these guys solve their issues man to man, and it doesn’t escalate into this bullshlt.

Nowadays, people are too eager to take their issues or beefs into social media and they just make things way worse.

If your neighbor is building a fence one foot into your property, you’ll go talk to him about it and resolve it. You automatically escalate a situation by going to social media.

IMO, Doesn't make a difference whose right or wrong here. Ivins shouldn't be engaging the coach in a ****ing contest via Twitter. He should have taken the high road.

Bruh, if you get caught filming someone's practice, and they tell you to get tf out, what you think gonna happen if you just move somewhere else to where you can still see and film? :ROFLMAO: 5 officers is excessive but I'm pretty sure MNW admins didn't say "nah, not 1, not 2, send the gang at his ***"

He was filming bro..kicked off the sidelines and then was probably the only one in the stands doing so..I’ll end by saying this, I work for Broward county schools for a elementary school. Take in account Anytime we have any type of even on our campus, we have 3 officers there and visible. The police don’t know the situation, they are just doing their jobs. ESPECIALLY IN TODAYS CLIMATE...with all these shootings going on..clearly this is not the situation but there’s your answer to why police escorted him out

i think he threw sta in there to speak on their power house as a football program and less about the "white" black thing...considering sta is coached by mostly black guys. Head coach is black, etc.

The warden dude did call ivins a priviledge white boy which came off a lil racist. This seems more like a personal beef...somethjing ivins did a while back...maybe wrote something bad about a player or ****ed off someone and they aint messing with him.

Ive never heard of someone getting escorted out of an INTRA SQUAD spring scrimmage in south florida..that sh*t is beyond petty.

If Ivins was called "A Privilege White Boy" this has all to do with race, and less about his credentials. That coach needs to be fired and far away from these kids because they want a D-1 offer. He's putting them in a position for that not to happen.

I agree. But st. Admin is mostly white. Avins said he got cleared and invited by MNW coaches..I think what u concluded is probably true. It’s personal. Maybe a bad article review on the program while it was a lil down a few years or not giving more exposure to certain kids..like I said I don’t agree with what Twitter dude is saying, but I understand his view. Ivins was kicked off the sideline, Then decided to go to the stands and film anyway. We know **** well he wouldn’t do that a program like St. Thomas. So why would Ivins feel the right or “privilege” to do it at MNW. Then get in Twitter about it..Ivins himself was wrong to put on Twitter

@gogeta4 I posted the twitter link midway on page 5 of this thread

i finally saw it...That was WRONG all the way.
I have no idea what mindstate some of these dudes have...but that particular tweet was some B.S.

Ivins must of been REALLY hurt by the escort out though..dude legit said he aint writing a glowing review...then wrote about it in another article when speaking on a MNW player.

i THINK ITS LESS OF A RACE ISSUE and more about a personal/respect issue that Ivins did with someone at MNW...whether its the AD, PRINCIPAL, someone. He said he was invited by a coach though so who knows. I'm thinking it would be best for him to not cover them and have someone else do it for 247.

Also i cant wait for Paradise or any of the other camps at UM where they will have to cross paths. lmao

Can anyone confirm whether MNW authorized the making of the "Year of the Bull" documentary showing coaches slapping players' helmets and cursing? If so, I find this new need for credentials and concern over what's reported on the field rather ironic. Or maybe they simply wizened up?

I honestly think Ivins was in the wrong as well. Da warden dude is in the wrong about the "priviledge white boy" comment, i guess he felt that way because of Ivins just moving his set up to the stands like.. a "f you" to being told to leave the sidelines. But it wasnt a race thing and shouldnt of been brought up.
I been in s.fla my whole life..and for the most part anyone who covers s.fla football or recruiting has been...WHITE. So i dont think race is an issue here.

The AD not responding to the email since last year...lets you know their is a prior issue there.

Those coaches were former canes, former canes coaches as well in there. There whole admin has changed about 12 times since then. The kid in the red shirt also is a coach at Southridge if i could recall as recent as last year..not sure if he is coaching at MNW this year though lol. But he got us Fleming.

alot of my friends in that year of the bull doc lmao

these 247 writers are reporters looking for a job correct?
I mean didn’t one of our own cis staffers get hired by gators 247?
I’ve always been suspect of ivins after a comment he made on the big 3 roll up.
When cmr was putting together storm 18 he said something on the big 3 roll up like “I have no idea how or why they are signing the guys they are. They just signed Brian Hightower who is from California. A guy they should have no business signing”
I couldn’t believe he was saying that. I know it’s hard to have a reporter be an actual fan but ****.
I also don’t trust 247 at all. The way they’ve down played everything from everyone else but but blow up anything that happens here is so obvious.
The Grace and AQM thing was front page on the 247 home page for like 10 days.
The fact that the founders of those sites are all sec grads makes it even more suspect.
You basically have a monopoly on a lot of recruiting information controlled by sec fans.
You think saban or Kirby doesn’t get on the phone over there and asks what is this kid saying what has he told you guys?
Also what a dumb *** thing to say that he won’t give a kid a good review for som sht he had nothing to do with.

Ivins has stated he's not a Miami fan. That doesn't mean he hates Miak either. He just tries to be objective while covering Miami recruiting and football. He actually used to write for a Notre Dame site before he got the Miami gig.
