He's not comparing himself to Saban, he's trying to compare MNW as a high school to have the type of clout/respect that Alabama demands. Which is true, NW has won enough to reserve that respect...he's mostly mad at Ivins for putting NW on blast in social media.

I got a chance to watch Miami Northwestern warmup for their intrasquad scrimmage before the school's administration asked me to leave for not have the proper credentials. My biggest takeaway during my 15 mins on the field was that three-star cornerback Tim Burns has started to fill and is looking more and more like a Power 5 prospect. He returned an interception 23 yards for a touchdown in the 6A state title game this past season and just recently picked up an offer from Rutgers.

Both sides are wrong. It’s not in your kids best interest to **** off someone that could give the lesser ones more exposure. No need to embarrass him with the police escort.

Ivins is wrong for saying he will now punish any future NW kid because of the coaches/administrators. He’s lost his objectivity now. We knew that journalists write favorable or negative stories based on personal relationships but now we have written evidence of bias. I can get being upset but he crossed the line with that comment.

All you have done in this thread is white knight for some shady B.S. by the MNW administration. Ivins has a right to be ****ed here...he was done wrong by some asshats down there. Get your **** together.

I'm not white knighting anybody. Of course Ivins has the right to be ****ed, he went through the correct procedures and got a null response then kicked out the stadium. The football staff should be helping him get his credentials, not arguing with him, but THEY aren't the ones in the wrong here. This whole situation falls on the shoulders of the AD not doing his job.

Fair enough...this makes sense. I'd be ****** livid if I was Ivins though...

Any high school should be doing all they can for their kids. And this Warden305 dude on Twitter is going about things the wrong way in response to him.
 
I would like to point out a couple of things. First is that the MNW program has always been a$$ backwards off the field. From missing funds to covering up for players to covering up for coaches. I believe Ivins try to get the proper credentials and never got the correct response. Second don't make it about the police. They are hired by the school to maintain peace and order. If the school does not want someone at the event they can be removed. It is a school function after all.

Why would he get in a ****ing match with the most influencial recruting person in South Florida,

Right or wrong that coach needed to reach out and smooth things out at all costs for the sake of his kids, the majority of which desperately want and need the exposure.

This fool is the equivalent of a waiter getting into an argument with a food critic while he's reviewing their restaurant.
