Makes little sense, I remember he was one of the 5 star standouts for Texas that was a starter midway through his freshman season.

Looking at the official Texas page, he started 6 games as a freshman and played in all 13. Last year he started 8 games and played in 9 before getting injured. According to reports he was moved down on the depth chart this year and was second string coming off his injury.

The reason it works at Bama because Saban recruits at such a high rate that these 5 stars know they can be replaced and the team wouldnt miss a beat.

Urban lost Tebag to graduation, and Cam was dismissed from UF. Had Newton stayed Meyer stays, IMO.

Carroll lost Leinhart and Bush. Barkley was not the same caliber QB. And the Seahawks guaranteed $35M.

Coker was just a bad HC.
