OT Hurts

I think all 3 of these can be true:

- We'd be undefeated if Hurts came here but we'd still be a team with issues

- We'd also probably be screwed next year

- Riley is very effective in making a good college QB with certain limitations look like Superman

I don't remember anyone saying he suck. I just remember people saying he was playing us when we took him LIV and bought him that stupid cake.

Jalen Hurts and Oklahoma has not faced a team with a pass defense in the TOP 50 yet this season.

Sooners are 4-0 and here is the pass defense rank of their opponents.

Texas Tech #51, South Dakota not ranked in the top 130, UCLA #129, Houston #122.

Imagine being the most respected and admired offensive mind in the game, having produced back to back Heisman winners and #1 picks...

And then MODIFYING your offense to fit your new Qb.

Says alot about Riley as a coach.
It's not like Mayfield and Murray are carbon copies of each other.

And even that was dumb. He wasn't a 17 yr old kid looking for free hotel stays and a trip to South Beach. He more than likely was always going to go to Oklahoma but the visits were obviously due diligence or even courtesy based (to Enos and Locksley) but we weren't being "played".

We would be 4-0 with Jalen Hurts at QB..

Hurts completion percentage at Alabama was about 60% with some of the most talented teams in the history of college football. He'd have zero time passing behind the Miami OL. You think his completion percentage would go up? The only difference is that Hurts could run around for a few extra seconds and then throw errant passes. Miamis WRs would not catch the ball any better than they do now- probably even worse as Jarren throws very accurate passes whereas Hurts would depend a lot on the WRs helping him. Enos system would still be predicated on calling plays like he has Alabama's OL.

Oklahoma has an outstanding OL plus an Air Raid based offense that makes life very easy for QBs and gives them massive throwing windows. Maybe Miami beats UNC with Hurts. So 3-1, but likely still a loss to UF.

He’s much improved. And yes, if he was at Miami our QB situation would be even better. He is a running threat that jarren isn’t. He has more experience so those guys jarren had been missing would not happen. He wouldn’t have taking the silly sacks jarren did. And jarren has played well. But the little things that come with experience would be the difference. We beat Florida with Hurts, you can book that

If JT4 fumbles the punt with Hurts at QB I'm not sure Miami wins. Now, I'd concede the point that maybe with Hurts at QB Enos calls a different game which leads to a win...that I'd concede to (I'm not arguing Jarren better than Hurts by the way).

Yea that’s mostly all I’m saying. Enos would’ve definitely had different play calling. He definitely taken the training bra this *****

Many of you said he sucked. I was hoping he transferred here. 1700 yards 17 tds.

He sucks though right? Cause he is at OU? Both Baker and kyler had less yards by nearly 400 each through this point.

He’s a great fit for that system. He would struggle with our system

He made the right choice in Oklahoma. Hurts would be completing 52% of his passes with 4 TDs and 7 INTs in Dan ****' ****** offense.

Enos definitely calls a better game with Hurts and our offense would have looked better. Give me a senior over a redshirt FR. Jarren i think has a higher ceiling but for this season Hurts would definitely have us 4-0 right now. And that’s not a knock on Jarren he’ll continue to get better as he gets games under his belt.
