OT: Hurricane warning

These models have a north turn after landfall. Hopefully that happens before landfill.

more or less. I'm thinking north Broward or Palm Beach is really where this ends up barring some sort of unforeseen event.

I live on the Broward/Palm Beach line. And this thing is coming right at me. Shutters go up tomorrow and wife nervous and wants to get out, we will head to Naples.

West coast will get some too, but not at Cat 3 or Cat 4 levels. Maybe Cat 1. I'm in the same boat, live in FTL, work in Boynton. It's heading pretty much right at us.

Latest University information:

The University is running shuttles for students to local CVS and food stores until those stores close.

Last hour has been a trend northward among the GFS and UKMET models, with landfall near Cape Canaveral. Earlier this morning the ICON model was forecasting a devastating Andrew-type impact in south Dade. ICON is not the most reliable model but it has gained spotlight with this hurricane because it has remained consistent toward South Florida, while other models have used the windshield wiper method of back and forth within the cone.

I hope the 2 PM Euro run verifies the northern trend. If you get a trend like that it's still not impossible the ridge weakens to such extent that Dorian takes that escape route and either misses out to sea or barely scrapes the eastern coast of Florida.

With a southern trend nothing good can happen.

Keep an eye on this thing getting into the Carolinas late next week and impacting our game Saturday in addition to any impacts here, god forbid.

With our luck, that's exactly what's gonna happen...

The fckin Hurricane will sit down & read a newspaper for 6 days, then all of the sudden get revved up as soon as it's time for us to hop on a plane & head to UNC smh lol.
