Interesting that no ACC team is involved although once you're doing 4 versions the overall novelty is kinda diluted. Prediction- this will do more to hurt Mike Leach's shtick than help it. I personally despise James Franklin but that clown will probably somehow benefit from this- especially since it's only a week and will be limited exposure.

Had not heard anything about this. Thanks for posting. I agree with your prediction about The Pirate by the way. Which would be a shame as that dude is a national treasure.

Yup. I find him entertaining as he's so out there on many different topics that it's at least interesting but I think as far as doing what he does as a coach that it's more beneficial for him to try to personally control his own narratives. I'm not so sure how he comes off to kids when it's an "unfiltered" portrayal for even a full hour or whatever it's going to be.

James Franklin on the other hand is a greasy buzzword/phrase fiend so he'll probably manage this better.

@ben Agreed on Ol' Herm. The dude is at minimum tv savvy but likes to "keep it real" so his episode(s) will probably be good.

I couldn't care less about Baga's involvement. I'm sure they'll end up giving Lil Nicky full editorial control of his footage.

James Franklin is a fraud. Good coach, he did well at Vandy, no doubt. Now that he's at a higher level, though, he's gotten more arrogant and the brighter lights have revealed him a bit more.

Baga will only do it if they get complete, total, and utter control over final cut. Theirs will end up being an hour long infomercial. Not that they all won't, but we know exactly what happens there.

ASU is a clown show, and I am no fan of Herm's (don't really have anything against him either, but he was a bit of a joke as a NFL HC), but I find myself rooting for him there at ASU nonetheless. Not even sure why, except I think he's a genuinely good mentor for young dudes, and his presence is entertaining for CFB.

Wazzou/Leach is the NCAA equivalent of Rex Ryan/Jets on Hard Knocks. Let's go have a fcking snack!

I'd watch if Canes were on, otherwise I have better things to do with my time in all likelihood.

Spot on. Watch somehow Marty Smith end up hosting the Baga episodes. The entirety will be how "personable" Sabag is in real life and how fun it is to be on the team. Look! Another bbq at the Sabag Mansion! Look! Sabag is taking everyone out on his boat! Here's Marty Smith at Cracker Barrel with Coach Sabag asking him how he deals with the pressures of being sooooo great while they compare their mama's grits recipes and enjoy some good ol' boy banter!

Honestly, wouldn't be surprised if they brought Oprah in too...

He can't possibly recruiter worse than he already does.

The Michigan version on Amazon was good. Mainly because of Harbaugh.

I actually dont think its a good premise. Hate to say it but college kids are not nearly as interesting as pro athletes with money. The FSU showtime show was was painfully boring because of that reason. It’s 18 year olds sitting around in a dorm. Who cares.

So you need a really interesting coach to make it work.

Leach is great at small doses

James Franklin is my least favorite coach in all of sports history. He is cliche and has no accountability. He botched some decisions last year (I think against Ohio St??) and then blamed the game on kids not wanting to be “great” — whatever that means!
Dude comes across as completely annoying.
