You are most likely just trying to stir stuff up just to get a reaction but in the event that you genuinely feel this way I encourage you to do a little more research regarding this topic, as the media has created a negative image of pitbulls with irresponsible reporting. I did extensive research on this topic during my undergraduate years and I can tell you that statically speaking there is a good chance that more than 50% of these reports have inaccurately identified the breed of the dog as the name "pitbull" is tossed around because it draws attention. Because of this negative attention "pitbulls" are often desired by people that are not suitable pet owners. I also noticed that you did not provide the source of your findings which also affects the reliability of your post. I would recommend you do some proper research at your local library before you generalize an entire "breed" of dogs even though the term pitbull is not actually a specific breed of dog, I'm sure that is the way you meant it. Are pitbull capable of being dangerous? Absolutely but so is any other large dog if put in a hostile environment. Are pitbulls bred to be vicious towards humans? No, unlike Rottweilers, German Shepherds and Dobermans pitbulls are not bred to be watch dogs and based on any temperament test you wish to use, are not likely to bite a human. I have had at least one pit bull my entire life and have never had an issue with them being vicious towards humans or other dogs. I don't blame you for your post though, I blame the media for telling you how to think.

Here you go buddy. Cut the number in half like your arbitrary sourceless claim and they are still the most dangerous, most over represented breed.

Bold #2

And I love pit bulls. But when you lifers that cannot be objective come in here acting like they are not something, when they are, it is pretty comical. Your research was clearly wasted, and only provided you with misinformation to sling **** around.

Dogs need two or three syllable names. So with that in mind:

Dorsey
Kosar
Gino
Barrow
Hurlie
Bubba
Hester
Taylor
Winslow
Jimmy
Winston (In honor of Eric or Moss)
Otto
Vinny
Cortez
Kelly
McGuire

If pit bulls are killing dumb poor people at a disproportionate rate to other breeds, then breed more pit bulls.

You should have done some research on paragraphs.

If I thought it mattered I would have put more time into making sure my post was structured correctly but I was ranting and could careless how it looked as long as it said what I wanted it to say, and it did......

In response to bold #1 , I not only stated that roughly half of those reports were "probably" inaccurate I also stated that due to their reputation pit bulls are commonly owned by people that are not suitable pet owners. I obviously can not scientifically prove my 2nd argument but you have to admit that pit bulls are a usual sight in impoverished area's. As for my "sourceless claim" I do not care enough about your opinion to do the research for you. If you are open minded enough to be convinced, you will do the research yourself.

As for bold #2 , what are pit bulls? I'm not sure what you're claiming them to be. Therefore I'm not sure what us "lifers" are saying they're not.

Jerome, Cortez, Russell, Stubbs, Rusty...considering it's a red nose, I'd go with Rusty or Medaris even. Butch ain't bad either. He's a fellow ginger. Do it for Cane Dynasty, I'm miss that crazy SOB.

Go Canes!

It's gonna be a red nose pit. Most likely a male. Was thinking Cane but am open to other creative names. Go...

Just an FYI- APBTs are not distinguished by nose color. They are distinguished by coat color. No such thing as a "red nose" or "blue nose". Yours may be a red fawn since it has a red nose. Most costs are red, red fawn, fawn, brindle, black. I've had APBTs in my family for over 60 years. Great dogs.
