OT: Gary Patterson

Put Shaw in a program where he doesn't need to worry about kids qualifying and then you can get an accurate read on the guy.

Great coach

David Shaw...great corch

They both seems to be great Coaches. I've met/ been around situation with Coach Patt and he is a hellua Defensive mind whose is worth a boatload of money. OU future maybe. Coach Shaw getting the best out of Ivey league talent just solidified my top 10.

Unless something wild goes wrong at OU pretty sure they have a coach set to be there for the next decade or two. Pretty sure Riley is the youngest HC in the nation by a couple of years.

Not sure we get to see that (at least in the immediate future). I bet he goes back to the NFL. God knows, there should be several openings in the next two years.

didn't realize thats why he blows 18 point leads

If we're going with small sample sizes, maybe you could explain why Patterson went 6-7 last year.

Patterson gets leftovers from the big Texas schools and Oklahoma schools.

Stanford the past 4 years has had Top 15 recruiting classes 3 times and one 24. TCU managed 2 24th ranked classes and 2 classes outside 40 in the same timespan.

Who cares if he went 6-7. He went 7-6 in 2012 and 4-8 the following year. He's at freaking TCU. Going to say Snyder sucks as a coach because he cant win 10 games consistently at Kansas State?

Harbaugh left Shaw a full developed program. Shaw has a bunch of mind boggling losses. **** he got Andrew Luck for a year and managed two losses one of them a 3TD loss at home.

Dudes the epitome of average.

If Riley can't feel Stoops shoes he will have a quick exit after 3 yrs. He's not a long tenured Okie and hasn't settled people shock of Stoops sudden resignation.

Always love how we judge coaches on this board.

We dissect every loss, then label a guy a "corch", as if the best coaches in the world don't lose some games.

The same thing can be done for literally every coach that's beloved on this board.

Having some bad games doesn't make you a corch, it's about the whole body of work.

Agreed. Shaw is at Stanford, not considered a powerhouse, yet he has them in the running for the PAC-12 every season. I mean they aren't going to win any Nattys but he's done a good job. I think he is a pretty **** good coach.

If Bryce Love isn't bleeding like a stuck pig on the last drive, perhaps Shaw wouldn't be considered a "corch".

Look, both are great coaches.
